Alabama football is a dominant force at the collegiate level, which leads to countless players being drafted or signed to NFL teams. It seems all too difficult to find a game on Sundays where there isn’t at least one former member of the Crimson Tide on the field.
In fact, Super Bowl 56, which will be played in Los Angeles between the Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, will feature three former Alabama stars.
For the Bengals, former Crimson Tide offensive lineman Jonah Williams will be playing. Williams was selected in the first round of the 2019 draft by Cincinnati and has overcome injuries to get to where he is today: a starting lineman in the Super Bowl.
The Rams currently have two former Alabama stars on the active roster for the Super Bowl: linebacker Terrell Lewis and defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson.
Lewis was drafted in the third round of the 2020 draft and has worked his way into a prominent role within the respectable Rams defense.
Robinson was originally drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, and is in his second season with the rams.
