The Army Black Knights (8-0) ride a 12-game win streak into their showdown Saturday with the North Texas Mean Green (5-3). Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Army vs. North Texas odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Army, who ranks No. 18 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, has not trailed during their undefeated run and boasts a top-five overall defense in the top division of college football.

However, quarterback Bryson Daily (undisclosed injury/illness) was listed as questionable after missing the Knights’ 20-3 steamrolling over Air Force last weekend. However, he will return Saturday.

North Texas won’t roll over, though, and presents a tough Conference USA hurdle before Army’s potentially marquee clash with Notre Dame. Quarterback Chandler Morris leads the FBS in passing yards per game (359.1) while tying for second with 29 passing touchdowns.

Army at North Texas picks and predictions

Prediction

Army 36, North Texas 31

Moneyline

Army’s ML has risen to -225 with the news that Daily will be in there. Due to such, their side is unplayable at this number. We liked Army before the news of their quarterback’s return, but there is far too much juice to take a stand on.

PASS.

Against the spread

The spread has dipped to 3 but jumped up to 6 with Daily’s return.

Army has aced spreads this year at 6-1-1. North Texas squares out at 4-4.

Unfortunately, the spread movement negated any value that could be extracted for a close North Texas effort.

I would ignore the spread at 6 points both ways. I might consider it if North Texas gets more than a touchdown.

PASS.

Over/Under

The strongest wager of the main categories will be the total.

North Texas’ offensive power ranks them second in the FCS with a 7-1-0 record on the Over/Under. Army remains no slouch at 5-3.

The triple option should carry Army on its own end regardless of who’s under center. Buck the market trend and bank on the points with the better side of the O/U vig.

BET OVER 63.5 (-105).
