First look Big 12 Championship Game: Iowa State vs. Arizona State odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s Iowa State vs. Arizona State college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The 2024 Big 12 Championship Game will see the No. 15 Arizona State Sun Devils (10-2, 7-2 conference) play the No. 17 Iowa State Cyclones (10-2, 7-2) Saturday in Arlington, Texas. Kickoff from AT&T Stadium is scheduled for noon ET (ABC). Below, we look at Arizona State vs. Iowa State odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

In its first year as a Big 12 school, Arizona State locked in a Big 12 title game spot with a 49-7 shellacking of their rival Arizona Wildcats, marking its fifth straight win. RB Cam Skattebo, who ranks in the top 10 nationally in rushing yards, churned out 177 yards and 3 TDs.  QB Sam Leavitt threw for 291 yards and 3 TDs on a 77.3% completion rate.

Meanwhile, wrapping things up with its own 3-game win streak, Iowa State survived a late Kansas State rally to win 29-21 and later clinched its berth after the BYU Cougars beat the Houston Cougars. QB Rocco Becht tossed 2 TDs and added a score on the ground.

Sure, college football fans won’t see the star-studded Colorado Buffaloes in this game. Still, this clash of underrated schools carries high stakes: The Big 12 likely won’t send another team to the College Football Playoff besides its champion.

Looking at Friday’s Utah at Arizona State college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The 17th-ranked Utah Utes (4-1, 1-1 Big 12) tangle with the Arizona State Sun Devils (4-1, 1-1) in a Friday night conference battle between 4-win teams. Kickoff from Mountain America Stadium in Tempe is at 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Utah vs. Arizona State odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Utah heads into this contest off a bye. It had to be a long week for the Utes because they were upset in their last game 23-10 as 7.5-point home favorites by unranked Arizona Sept. 28.

Arizona State came off a bye to rebound off its lone loss with a 35-31 home victory as a 2.5-point favorite vs. Kansas Saturday. QB Sam Leavitt (157 passing yards) threw 4 TDs, including a game-winning 3-yard pass to WR Jordyn Tyson with 16 seconds left — the 5th lead change in the 4th quarter.

ASU prevailed despite turning the ball over twice compared to none for Kansas. RB Cam Skattebo ran for 186 yards and 1 TD as the Sun Devils finished with 313 rushing yards in what marked their 4th straight game decided by 8 points or less.

Utah vs. Arizona State head-to-head

Utah has won the last 4 meetings (2019-2023) in the all-time series — one dating to 1961 — but the Sun Devils still lead the series 22-12.

From 1977-2014, ASU went 11-0 in the series; Utah has gone 6-2 since, including 2-1 in Tempe. In those last 8 meetings (since 2015), Utah is also 6-2 ATS while the Over is 5-3.

In the current 4-game win streak, the Utes have outscored the Sun Devils 145-40. Last season, Utah drilled ASU 55-3 in Salt Lake City (Nov. 4) — an easy cover on a Utah -9.5 line. The Sun Devils logged just 83 total yards (43 rushing, 40 passing), the program’s 2nd-lowest total in its history.

Washington is No. 5 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

The Sun Devils lost to Colorado 27-24 on Oct. 7, pushing as a 3-point home underdog. Arizona State, which had a bye in Week 7, hasn’t won a game since a 24-21 victory in Week 1 over Southern Utah. The Colorado Buffaloes (3-2, 0-2 Pac-12) take on the Arizona State Sun Devils (1-4, 0-2 Pac-12) in Tempe on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Colorado vs. Arzona State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Colorado was a 21.5-point underdog last Saturday against the USC Trojans and trailed 34-14 at halftime. But QB Shedeur Sanders and the Buffaloes made a dramatic turnaround in the 2nd half and they covered in a 48-41 loss. This will be a different game for Colorado as Arizona State comes in battered and bruised.

The 1st season for coach Kenny Dillingham has not been good. Multiple QB injuries have led the Sun Devils to turn to Notre Dame transfer Drew Pyne,  who has just 273 passing yards with 2 TDs and 3 INTs in 2 games.

First look: Colorado at Arizona State odds and lines

Previewing the Colorado Buffaloes at Arizona State Sun Devils Week 4 matchup, with college football odds, trends and head-to-head records.

The Colorado Buffaloes (1-2) and Arizona State Sun Devils (2-1) meet Saturday at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Colorado vs. Arizona State odds and lines; check back for our college football picks and predictions.

The Buffaloes opened with a 35-7 win over the FCS Northern Colorado Bears, but it’s been all downhill from there. They nearly pulled off an upset of ranked the Texas A&M Aggies in Denver but fell 10-7. The Minnesota Golden Gophers then visited Boulder and blanked the Buffs 30-0. The Under is 3-0 in three outings for Colorado.

The Sun Devils blasted the FCS Southern Utah Thunderbirds and the UNLV Rebels in a pair of home games to start their season but lost 27-17 at BYU this past weekend. So far Arizona State is 0-3 ATS and the Under has cashed in all three outings.
