Marvin Harrison Jr.’s jersey can now be sold!

By signing his rookie contract with the Cardinals, he becomes part of the NFLPA group licensing agreement.

Arizona Cardinals and NFL fans have been waiting for this news. By signing his rookie contract with the Arizona Cardinals, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, will now be able to have his NFL jersey sold.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, with Harrison signing his standard player contract, he is now part of the NFLPA group licensing agreement, per Paragraph 4 of his deal.

His jersey was not yet available for purchase previously because he did not sign a licensing agreement with the NFLPA.

Harrison, who wears No. 18 for the Cardinals as he did at Ohio State.

We will see how long it takes for his jersey to hit the online stores, but Cardinals fans will be happy to know they will be able to get it.

Harrison is currently being sued by Fanatics for allegedly denying and refusing to live up to the terms of a licensing agreement he signed over a year ago.

‘Madden’ sim: Cardinals’ rally falls short in 24-17 loss to Browns

Clayton Tune throws two TD passes but Deshaun Watson has three in a 24-17 simulated Browns win over Arizona in Madden 24.

How will the Arizona Cardinals do against the Cleveland Browns and their No. 1 defense with rookie Clayton Tune making his first NFL start? If things go the way they did in a simulation of the game on “Madden NFL 24,” it won’t be bad.

In the simulation, Tune is sacked three times and throws an interception but had two touchdown passes and has a chance to get a game-tying touchdown at the end. But he ran out of time and the Cardinals lost 24-17 to the Browns.

The Browns took a 7-0 on their first drive of the game, getting a two-yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson to Elijah Moore. It was the first of three touchdown passes on the afternoon for Watson.

The Cardinals answered right back with a touchdown of their own. Tune threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Rondale Moore to tie the score.

The Browns’ next drive stalled and they added three points with a 33-yard field goal and then Tune was picked off by Martin Emerson, the only turnover of the game.

Watson’s four-yard touchdown pass to tight end David Njoku made it 17-7.

After halftime and an Arizona punt, Watson’s third touchdown pass, a five-yarder to Amari Cooper, made it 24-7.

The Cardinals finally responded with a 27-yard field goal, stalling in the red zone.

After forcing a Cleveland punt, the Cardinals turned the ball over on downs in field goal range but sacked Watson twice to force a punt.

Tune threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Hollywood Brown to make it 24-17 and then the defense forced a punt, giving the offense a chance with under two minutes to go to potentially tie or win the game.

They moved down the field but Tune was sacked with no timeouts left and they were unable to score.

Tune finished completing 19-of-26 passes for 246 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also led the Cardinals with 30 rushing yards on seven attempts. Keaontay Ingram only rushed for 16 yards and Tony Jones for 12.

Rondale Moore caught seven passes for 111 yards and a score. Hollywood Brown had four receptions for 79 yards and a score.

Defensively, Zaven Collins dominated. He had 2.5 sacks but was in on all four sacks of Watson, getting half sacks twice with Leki Fotu and once with Marco Wilson.

Watson completed 23-of-29 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Jerome Ford rushed for 53 yards. Elijah Moore was their leading receive with seven catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Jonathan Gannon won’t rule out rookie QB Clayton Tune as Week 1 starter

Gannon says the decision will be made about starters when they have to make those decisions.

The Arizona Cardinals are less than three weeks away from their season opener and it doesn’t look like quarterback Kyler Murray will be ready to play in Week 1. That is no surprise.

Colt McCoy has been operating as the first-team quarterback but his play in the preseason, albeit very limited snaps, has not been impressive.

Is the door open for rookie Clayton Tune, drafted in the fifth round this year?

Head coach Jonathan Gannon won’t rule it out.

When asked on Wednesday if Tune could start in Week 1, he left the door open.

“We’ll see,” he said. “We’re evaluating that every day and we’ll make those decisions when we need to.”

Tune has played the bulk of both preseason games as Gannon believes he needs the game reps.

That is especially important if he ends up being a third-stringer who gets limited practice reps in the regular season.

Tune’s play in the preseason has not been particularly impressive. It hasn’t been bad. He has shown some promise as an NFL quarterback.

But would that be enough to supplant McCoy and the known commodity he is?

My guess is no, but Gannon preaches competition constantly so to name someone a starter now would be to stray from that.

WATCH: Report: Arizona’s Josh Shaw bet against the Cardinals

Arizona Cardinal defensive back, Josh Shaw, bet against his own team in a wager that has him suspended through at least the end of the 2020 season.

Last week, Josh Shaw was handed the first suspension for betting on NFL games that the league has dished out since 1983. Turns out, the Arizona Cardinals defensive back bet against his own team in the wager that has him suspended through at least the end of the 2020 season.

Multiple sources told ESPN, “A three-team parlay that included an Arizona Cardinals game led the NFL in part to suspend Cardinals defensive back Josh Shaw for violating the league’s gambling policy.”

Shaw reportedly placed a bet on the second halves of three games on Nov. 10. The 27-year-old made the bet at a Caesars sportsbook in Las Vegas while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were leading the Cardinals 17-13 at halftime.

ESPN reports, “The Buccaneers were 1-point favorites for the second half. They failed to cover the second-half spread but went on to defeat the Cardinals 30-27. Shaw’s bet lost, according to the sources.”

Shaw signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals in March and was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 25 with a shoulder injury.

Shaw can petition for reinstatement on or after Feb. 15, 2021.
