3-star in-state product predicted to go to Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners continue to build momentum in the recruitment of 2025 three-star offensive lineman Antoni Ogumoro.

Since [autotag]Brent Venables[/autotag] took over as head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, the staff has prioritized in-state prospects in recruiting. That has been no different this year: Four of their 13 commits are from Oklahoma. They’re currently the heavy favorite for local talents C.J. Nickson and Trystan Haynes, two of the top three players in the state.

In the [autotag]2025 recruiting class[/autotag], the Sooners are also prioritizing the offensive line, hoping to have as star-studded a class as the defensive line was in 2024. To that end, the Sooners have been pursuing Antoni Ogumoro, a three-star prospect out of Elgin, Oklahoma.

Since the spring game, the Sooners have kept their momentum with Ogumoro despite his impressive list of growing offers. On3 and SoonerScoop’s Josh McCuistion issued a prediction favoring the Sooners this week. That was followed by a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports and Sooners Illustrated’s Collin Kennedy on Tuesday.

Ogumoro is ranked as the No. 25 interior offensive lineman in the country. He’s the No. 10 player in the state of Oklahoma. He has good size at 6 feet, 5 inches and around 315 pounds, according to Ogumoro.

The Sooners are the overwhelming favorites for Ogumoro. According to the On3 recruiting prediction machine.

He has made three tips to Norman, including his official visit for the spring game. He has visits scheduled with Kansas State and Tennessee in May and is planning to commit on May 21. Oklahoma State, Missouri, North Carolina, Cincinnati, Iowa State, NC State, Duke and TCU are a few of the notable teams that have offered Ogumoro.

If the Sooners can survive both of those trips, they should be in a good spot to land a commitment.

Sooners pick up On3 prediction for underrated in-state offensive line prospect

After a successful spring game weekend, the Oklahoma Sooners picked up an On3 prediction for the underrated Antoni Ogumoro.

The Oklahoma Sooners have made significant progress for the [autotag]2025 recruiting class[/autotag]. One area where the Sooners are thriving on the recruiting trail is along the offensive line. They hold commitments from [autotag]Owen Hollenbeck[/autotag] and [autotag]Ryan Fodje[/autotag] and have put themselves in strong standing with blue-chip prospects like [autotag]Ty Haywood[/autotag] and [autotag]Michael Fasusi[/autotag].

The Sooners have also moved the needle for one of the more under-the-radar prospects in the 2025 class, [autotag]Antoni Ogumoro[/autotag]. After spending time with the Sooners at the Oklahoma spring game, Josh McCuistion of SoonerScoop and On3 issued an On3 prediction favoring the Sooners.

Ogumoro is considered a three-star prospect by Rivals and On3 but has the potential to end up much higher in the 2025 recruiting rankings. On3 considers Ogumoro the No. 10 player in the state of Oklahoma and a top 25 interior offensive line prospect in the country.

The Elgin, Okla. product hasn’t been playing offensive line for very long, but he has all the tools to be a fantastic offensive lineman at the collegiate level.

Here’s what I had to say about Antoni Ogumoro back in March.

Omugoro is a legit athlete with the quickness and agility to be a star at the collegiate level. He moves well for someone 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds. A basketball player as well for Elgin, he’s also a physical offensive lineman at the point of attack.

Ogumoro shouldn’t be able to move the way he does at his size, but he’s fluid, athletic, and displays good footwork. His skills on the basketball court have translated better to the offensive line than they did to the defensive front, where he started out as a football player.

Don’t let the ranking or star status fool you. Ogumoro is a player. By the end of the cycle, he should be in blue-chip territory.

Ogumoro has set a commitment date for May 21, 2024. He holds offers from Oklahoma, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Kansas State, UNC, TCU, Virginia Tech, Duke, Cincinnati, and Iowa State.

2025 OL target Antoni Ogumoro sets commitment date, top 8

The Oklahoma Sooners were included in the top 8 for 2025 OL Antoni Ogumoro out of Elgin, Okla. The Sooners join Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, NC State, Houston, and North Carolina.

The Oklahoma Sooners are off to a fantastic start in the [autotag]2025 recruiting class[/autotag] with less than a year until next February’s national signing day. Offensive line recruiting has a chance to be as star-studded and stacked as defensive line recruiting was for 2024.

A name that popped up recently for the Oklahoma Sooners is Elgin, Okla. native [autotag]Antoni Ogumoro[/autotag].

Since the start of the new year, Ogumoro has seen his recruitment take off, receiving eight Power Four offers, including the Oklahoma Sooners. Not long after receiving his offer from OU, Parker Thune of OUInsider submitted a Rivals Futurecast favoring the Sooners in his recruitment. But with official visits still on the horizon, this could be anybody’s recruitment.

Ogumoro shared via X that he’ll make his commitment on May 21, 2024. Currently, he has a top eight of Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, NC State, Houston, and North Carolina.

Ogumoro is a raw, but very athletic offensive line prospect. He moves incredibly well for his size, starring on the hardwood for Elgin High School as well. But despite his inexperience, he’s taken well to offensive line, showing off the punishing physicality needed to make an impact at the Power Four level.
