A former Spartan will now be wearing the New York Yankees iconic pinstripes:

Former Michigan State pitcher Anthony Misiewicz has carved out a very nice MLB career for himself as a left handed relief pitcher. He has spent the past four seasons pitching for the Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, Arizona Diamondbacks and Detroit Tigers. He has pitched in 127 games over those seasons.

After battling some injury problems in Arizona this season, the Diamondbacks designated Misiewicz for assignment, and the Tigers jumped on the opportunity to get the lefty from Anchor Bay.

Now, after just one appearance in Detroit, the Tigers have moved on and a new team has claimed the former Spartan. Misiewicz will be headed to New York to wear the iconic pinstripes for the Yankees.
