Charles Barkley officially brought his [expletive] to Minnesota after hilarious Anthony Edwards comments

Charles Barkley has made it to Minnesota after Anthony Edwards’ funny comment.

After a hysterical comment from Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards, former NBA great-turned-broadcaster Charles Barkley actually made the trip to Minnesota.

Barkley was spotted in Minneapolis by a Twitter (X) user, as Edwards told him to “bring ya ass” to the state after Barkley claimed he’d not been there in 20 years (which was not accurate).

A comedian turned Edwards’ very funny quote into a URL that redirected to the Explore Minnesota tourism site, and Barkley has indirectly listened to Edwards to explore what Minnesota has to offer.

We say “indirectly” because Barkley will most likely be on-site with TNT for the first game of the Western Conference finals in Minneapolis on Wednesday night, making an in-person moment with Barkley and Edwards very possible.

So, while this is more of a work trip than one directly influenced by Edwards, it’s still a very fun coincidence.

This has been a very fun moment in this year’s NBA playoffs and a heck of a boost for Minnesota tourism.

Maybe more people will follow Barkley’s lead and visit the state for the first time in a while (or for the first time in general).

A comedian turned Anthony Edwards’ hilarious Charles Barkley retort into Minnesota tourism propaganda

This is one way to put on for your home state.

The Minnesota Timberwolves’ run to the conference finals, and potentially further, is bringing Charles Barkley back to the North Star State for the first time in two decades.

One native Minnesotan is doing his part to make sure Barkley isn’t the only one to make the trip up north.

After the Wolves’ Game 7 win over the Nuggets Sunday, Barkley told Anthony Edwards he hadn’t been to Minnesota in 20 years, which prompted Edwards to say “bring ya ass.”

Less than a day later, Minneapolis native and comedian Jon Savitt has already purchased a domain by the same quote — bringyaass.com — and has it set to redirect people to the Explore Minnesota tourism site.

Truly a man of the people … of Minnesota.

Anthony Edwards waved goodbye to Denver fans in the middle of a play while eliminating the Nuggets

This was an amazing moment from Anthony Edwards.

During a wild win over the Nuggets on Sunday evening, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards shared one final moment with the Denver crowd.

After pulling off one of the most improbable Game 7 victories in playoff history, Edwards gave Nuggets fans something to remember in the final minute of their season.

Following a remarkably impressive comeback, Edwards gestured toward those attending the game at Ball Arena. He appeared to wave goodbye after seven fun games, including some tough home losses for the reigning champs.

The Timberwolves will next play the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals for a chance to compete for a NBA Championship.

Edwards, with all of his star power, should provide plenty of fireworks in the process.

Sixers’ Tyrese Maxey gives love to Anthony Edwards, 2020 draft class

Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey gave love to Anthony Edwards and the 2020 draft class for their success.

The 2020 NBA draft was an interesting one, to say the least. After the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the college basketball season and limited what teams could see of potential draft prospects, teams had to get serious about researching players in the draft.

The Philadelphia 76ers hit on one of the top players from 2020. Tyrese Maxey has blossomed into an All-Star and one of the top players in the league. He made his first All-Star appearance in 2024 and is set up for more success in the future.

After the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Indiana Pacers advanced to the Western Conference finals and the Eastern Conference finals, respectively, it meant Maxey’s 2020 draft mates made a big impact. Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels are two leaders for the Wolves while Tyrese Haliburton leads Indiana from that draft class.

Maxey gave a shoutout to his 2020 draft mates after the Timberwolves advanced.

While Edwards, McDaniels and Haliburton look to win a title for the first time in their careers, Maxey and the Sixers are getting back to work to prepare for the 2024-25 season.

Anthony Edwards had the best response when Charles Barkley asked what to eat in Minnesota

Anthony Edwards and Charles Barkley are comedy gold.

After defeating the Nuggets in a wild Game 7, the Timberwolves will officially head to the Western Conference Finals.

Following the improbable comeback win over Denver, Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards appeared on TNT’s postgame coverage of the game. During this exchange with Barkley, the Inside the NBA host said that he had not been to Minnesota in approximately twenty years (which may not be true).

This seemed to excite Edwards, though, who told Barkley to “bring his [expletive]” out there. It was yet another hilarious moment from Edwards, who has now become arguably the funniest player in postgame interviews.

Barkley then asked Edwards one of the most important questions you could possibly ask a basketball player after a series-clinching victory: When I’m in your city, what should I eat?

Edwards said he would find a way to get Barkley’s contact information and would gladly provide a list of recommendations.

In the meanwhile, however, celebrity chef Bobby Flay provided a quick recommendation for once Barkley arrives in Minnesota: Spoon and Stable.

Other fans have jumped in to help Edwards provide Barkley with the best food options for when he is in Minnesota.

But either way, this was a hilarious conversation between two very funny people.

Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns gave a very relatable NSFW answer about the Timberwolves’ history of losing

“We’ve been losing for 20 years!”

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be talking about beating the Denver Nuggets for a while. Minnesota experienced a lot to get to this point, including losing a boatload of games. Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns acknowledged this Sunday in a hysterical post-game presser.

The Denver Nuggets had an epic meltdown at the end of the Western Conference Semifinals. They blew a 20-point lead, and the avalanche continued well into the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. Full credit goes to the Timberwolves for dialing in and completely unraveling the reigning champions.

Postgame, the vibes between Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns were so immaculate that they produced one of the most unhinged yet amazing press conference moments I’ve ever seen. A reporter was setting up a question about losing big before winning when they interrupted the question to essentially ask rather pointedly — how much more losing do the Timberwolves have to endure?

Here’s that hilarious exchange (Warning: NSFW language):

“We lost last year…It’s the playoffs. We lost last year.”

“We lost the last two years. [Expletive.]”

” [Expletive.] How much more we gotta lose?”

“How much do you want us to lose?”

“We’ve been losing for 20 years!”

Sixers’ Joel Embiid reacts to Timberwolves eliminating Nuggets

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid reacts to the Minnesota Timberwolves eliminating the Denver Nuggets.

The Philadelphia 76ers are moving into the offseason following their first-round elimination by the New York Knicks, but the playoffs are still going on around the league. The Sixers, like everybody else, are watching the postseason and paying attention to all the action.

There will be a new champion in the NBA after the Denver Nuggets fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 7 of their second-round series on Sunday. Minnesota rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half to stun the defending champs behind Anthony Edwards and a stifling defensive effort.

Sixers star Joel Embiid was shocked to see the Nuggets go down the way they did at home. He summed it up in a single word.

Embiid and Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards have a close relationship. One has to assume that the big fella will be rooting for Edwards the rest of the way as the Timberwolves take on the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference finals.

Anthony Edwards confirmed a hysterical NSFW prediction he made to a Nuggets staffer about a possible Game 7

Anthony Edwards’s confidence about a Game 7 with the Nuggets was through the roof.

Anthony Edwards knew the Minnesota Timberwolves would be going to Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets. He was so confident about that feeling that he even told a Denver locker room staffer days ago that he would be back when the series reached that point.

The Nuggets-Timberwolves series has been a wild ride. During the first two games, Anthony Edwards and co. had Nikola Jokic and the defending champs completely out of sorts. Then, the Nuggets stormed back with three impressive wins in a row. However, the Timberwolves were not going to go quietly.

On Thursday, they defeated the Nuggets 115-70, holding Denver to just nine points in the fourth quarter. WHEW. But Anthony Edwards says this was the plan. He previously told a Denver locker room staff member that he would see them again for Game 7. Here’s what he told a reporter when asked about his prediction (Warning: NSFW language.):

“[Expletive] yeah! They know. Y’all was in there. I told them. I said, ‘I’ll see y’all [expletive] for Game 7’.”

NBA Twitter reacts to Timberwolves’ 45-point win over Denver in Game 6: ‘Worst playoff performance ever?’

Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to the Minnesota Timberwolves demolishing the Denver Nuggets in Game 6.

The Minnesota Timberwolves destroyed the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 115-70 and forced a Game 7 for the second-round matchup between the two teams.

Anthony Edwards led the Wolves with 27 points, but their incredible defense stood out the most.

Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to a wild result in Game 6.

Anthony Edwards could only laugh about Nikola Jokic’s dominance in Game 5

Anthony Edwards has accepted reality with Nikola Jokic.

At a certain point, it’s foolish to ignore reality, to pretend you can really change anything about an outcome. That’s what Anthony Edwards realized after watching Nikola Jokic paint an all-time masterpiece in the Denver Nuggets’ Game 5 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The evening saw Jokic fall just three rebounds short of a 40-point triple-double. Think about that. He was flat-out unstoppable, especially while attacking four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert. This is a pattern that has extended all the way back to Game 3.

No matter what the Timberwolves have thrown at the three-time MVP, he has somehow always had an answer while leading the way for reigning champion Denver. In the post-game locker room, Edwards didn’t even bother pretending like Minnesota could do anything differently to the NBA’s best player.

Instead, he could literally only laugh about Jokic’s dominance:

Edwards is a superstar in his own right. One day, he may well hold the title of best player in the league. It says something that Edwards is this good at the age of 22. It also says something that he’s mature enough to realize when the other team has an all-time great like Jokic operating near the peak of his powers.

When someone like Jokic has it going, no one’s getting in his way. It’s just that simple.
