A Nebraska women’s basketball player has been nominated for a post-season award. Jaz Shelley has been named to the Ann Meyers-Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year watch list.
The Moe, Australia native led Nebraska in 2022-23 with 14.6 points, 6.1 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. Shelley began her career at Oregon, playing for the Ducks from 2019-21.
She joined the Cornhuskers for the 2021-22 season. That year, she earned second-team All-Big Ten honors and earned a place on the media’s Big Ten All-Defensive Team.
Shelley is the first first-team All-Big Ten selection under head coach Amy Williams. The award was given to South Carolina shooting guard Zia Cooke of South Carolina.
