Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII season, Taylor Swift in ‘America’s Game’ documentary on NFL Network

Kansas City #Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII season, Taylor Swift in ‘America’s Game’ documentary on NFL Network | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs will be featured in a new special that will air on NFL Network on Wednesday, September 4th.

NFL Network is set to air the latest iteration of their “America’s Game” documentary series, which chronicles the reigning Super Bowl champions each year. Narrated by actor and Chiefs fan Paul Rudd, “America’s Game” delves into the Chiefs’ third Super Bowl title in five years. In the hour-long show, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and Andy Reid recount the season in their own words.

This year’s edition of “America’s Game” is the 58th episode of the long-running special celebrating the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Chiefs. The episode features thoughts on Taylor Swift’s attendance at games during the year.

In a clip from the documentary, Mahomes reflected on Swift’s first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ Week 3 victory over the Chicago Bears last year.

“I became aware of her being at the game that week; [Travis Kelce] said she was thinking about coming and being at the game… He’s a guy that is full of life and loves to go out there and enjoy it. That’s why it didn’t surprise anybody on the team; people act like it was a distraction, and I was like, ‘No, this is just Travis; that’s how he always is.'”

The Chiefs’ latest America’s Game installment is expected to be entertaining for fans of football and Swift.

NFL Network to air ‘America’s Game: The 2015 Denver Broncos’ tonight

Set your DVR: NFL Network will air ‘America’s Game: The 2015 Denver Broncos’ tonight 📺🏈🏆

Former Denver Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware was announced as a member of the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame class last week. Ware made his name as a member of the Dallas Cowboys but cemented his legacy by winning a Super Bowl in 2015 with the Broncos. NFL Network will show the 2015 Denver Broncos “America’s Game” episode to honor Ware on Friday evening.

Ware capped his 12-season NFL career with 138.5 sacks, including 27.5 in his four seasons in Denver. In 2015, Ware racked up 25 tackles, adding 7.5 sacks in 11 games. He also compiled five tackles and two sacks in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers.

Ware helped make the 2015 Broncos memorable for many reasons. Outside of it being fellow Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning’s swan song season, Ware was a part of the “No Fly Zone” defense that has since been immortalized as one of the NFL’s most excellent defenses of all time. The defense ranked No. 1 in total defense, pass defense, and sacks during the season.

Check out Ware and other team members discussing their Super Bowl run tonight on NFL Network at 11:00 p.m. ET.

Report: ‘America’s Game’ for Chiefs to debut ahead of season opener

The Chiefs will have their Super Bowl-winning season chronicled on “America’s Game: The Super Bowl Champions”.

Kansas City Chiefs fans will see their Super Bowl-winning season chronicled in the annual documentary “America’s Game: The Super Bowl Champions.”

There was some concern from fans that the COVID-19 pandemic wouldn’t allow for the production of the annual series documenting the reigning Super Bowl champions and their path to glory. According to a report Yahoo Sports’ Terez Paylor, there will be an “America’s Game” for the Chiefs. He also says there will be a separate documentary series chronicling the coaching staff in Kansas City, similar to the “Do Your Job” documentary from the New England Patriots.

According to Paylor’s report, both documentaries will premiere on NFL Network on September 9. That’s the day prior to the NFL season opener between the Chiefs and Texans at Arrowhead Stadium.

“America’s Game” typically features unseen NFL Films footage from the season and interview sessions with a few key players from the Super Bowl victory. I’d imagine that Super Bowl MVP and the face of the NFL, Patrick Mahomes is on the shortlist to be interviewed for the documentary. Other good options would include Tyrann Mathieu, Damien Williams, Travis Kelce, Frank Clark and so on.

We’ll find out more about the production and which Chiefs players are involved as we get closer to the premiere in September.
