Alex Rodriguez is using Tom Brady as a recruiting pitch

A-Rod is going to get the GOAT involved.

Former MLB star and current baseball analyst, Alex Rodriguez, had some interesting comments about Michigan and Tom Brady during a recent interview.

The former Seattle Mariner, Texas Ranger, and New York Yankee has two daughters that are very active in the softball world, and they are both looking at colleges to play at. Rodriguez says that Natasha will be a ‘rising senior’ next season, and Ella will be a ‘rising freshman’ next season.

“For me the big thing is my daughters next year, Natasha will be a rising senior; Ella will be a rising freshman,” Rodriguez said. “We’re starting to take college visits. I’ll be in Michigan next week visiting Michigan for the second time.”

Rodriguez says that he will use a big recruiting pitch this next time they travel to Michigan — who may that be?

Insert Tom Brady.

“I’m having Tom Brady talk to her to try to convince her to go to Michigan,” Rodriguez said.

Talk about a star-studded appearance at a recruiting visit for his two daughters. It’s hard to believe Brady won’t have a major influence during that visit if A-Rod is able to pull that off.

Baseball great Alex Rodriguez and his …

Baseball great Alex Rodriguez and his business partner, Marc Lore, are investing in a new company aiming to be a “stock market’’ for professional athletes, allowing fans to buy and sell players whose values rise and fall based on their performances on the field. Mojo, as the new business is called, plans to debut by the end of the year, with football as its first sport. The company has raised $75 million in a funding round led by Joshua Kushner’s venture firm Thrive Capital. Tiger Global Management also participated.

Mojo executives are trying to build a product that feels like the trading apps users are familiar with, such as Robinhood or Coinbase. “I’ve always thought the idea of a sports stock market was the holy grail — the vision could transform sports, and fandom as a whole,” Lore said in an email. “For years, I’ve heard people throw around the idea — but nobody has been able to do it. For the concept to truly work, you need underlying principles like intrinsic value and instant liquidity.”

Since the 46-year-old Rodriguez’s playing days ended in 2016, he has focused heavily on investing, including being part of a $1.5 billion deal last year to buy the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves. Rodriguez also owns numerous office, retail and residential properties, and stakes in dozens of businesses, including online groceries, private plane sharing, a beer brand, and gym and yoga chains.

FOX showed Alex Rodriguez dancing in the stands at Lambeau and NFL fans had jokes

This was weird to see.

Alex Rodriguez is a part owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx. But is he also a fan of the Minnesota Vikings?

No, apparently not. The former Mariners/Rangers/Yankees star is a fan of the… Green Bay Packers?

It, uh, at least looked that way Saturday night when the FOX broadcast showed A-Rod dancing in the stands at Lambeau Field, home of a team that is absolutely loathed by the fine folks of Minnesota.

Why was A-Rod at the San Francisco 49ers-Packers Divisional Round playoff game? I have no idea. I’m not the biggest A-Rod fan so forgive me for not keeping up with his football fandom.

But there he was having some fun Saturday night:
