5 potential landing spots for Julio Jones in 2022 NFL free agency

Here are some teams that should look to add Julio Jones through free agency this offseason.

Former Alabama stanout wide receiver Julio Jones spent a decade of his NFL career with the team that drafted him No. 6 overall in 2011, the Atlanta Falcons. He then spent the 2021 season with the Tennessee Titans. Now, he is a free agent.

Jones, now 33-years old, has not put up career numbers since 2019, his penultimate season with the Falcons.

There are certainly teams that could utilize him in the upcoming 2022 NFL season, here are five that should look to pursue the Crimson Tide great.

WATCH: Kenyan Drake breaks off 69-yard TD run in Cardinals blowout win

Kenyan Drake had a spectacular performance for the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.

Kenyan Drake was spectacular for the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. His team won in blowout fashion over the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 38-10, and Drake was a major driving force in that final score.

The former Alabama running back rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, an 8.2-yard average. His longest play came on a carry late in the fourth quarter. After taking the handoff, Drake broke free for a 69-yard touchdown run to put his team up 37-10 with the extra point looming.

It was a very nice run for the former third-round pick.

Even without the long run, Drake still had 95 yards on 19 carries, but his explosive, breakaway speed was on full display as he outran several Cowboys defenders, including fellow former Tide standout Trevon Diggs.

Coming into the game, Drake had not even exceeded 90 yards rushing on the season. His total rushing output through the first five games was 314 yards and two touchdowns on 65 carries.

Now, he’s sitting at 478 yards and four touchdowns though six games. That puts him on pace to rush for 1,275 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season.

Heading into the NFL Honors for the 2019 season it seemed as if the Offensive Rookie of the Year award was between two worthy candidates: Josh Jacobs, former Alabama running back now leading the charge for the Raiders, and AJ Brown, the former Ole Miss wide receiver now a star on the Titans.

However, the award was given to former Heisman-winning quarterback out of Oklahoma, Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals.

Many NFL fans have taken to Twitter to voice their dissatisfaction with Murray being named the recipient, heres what they had to say:

NBC getting in on the action, calling it “a slight.”

I’d say this was the face of many NFL fans around the league.

We can’t figure this one out either, Vincent.

Stephen A. Smith’s reaction may very well be all of ours.

Maybe it’s time to bring back the replacement refs?

PFF bringing some stats to the conversation.

Bold prediction right here for the 2020 season.
