The Alabama men’s basketball team will make a quick trip east to take on the Liberty Flame in Birmingham, Alabama. The Crimson Tide come into the game with a 7-5 record. As for the Flame, they come into the contest with a 10-3 record.
In 2022, Alabama defeated Liberty 95-59. That will be more difficult to duplicate this season. The Flame average over 77 points per game and have made things difficult against elite competition.
Liberty shoots 48% from the field and 37.9% from beyond-the-arc. Thus far, Alabama has struggled against teams that shoot the ball effectively from distance.
However, those teams were each ranked inside the top-10. Liberty is not. While Alabama will likely be tested on both ends of the floor, I think that Alabama’s size and ability to stretch the floor will present problems for the Flame’s defense. For that reason, I like Alabama to win by a final score of 87-64.
