Alabama football head coach Nick Saban joined Alabama’s associate athletic’s director for spots medicine, Jeff Allen to create a video about the importance of wearing a mask amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

ESPN’s Pablo Torre ended the show ‘Outside the Lines’ with a monologue that lasted over a minute acknowledging the influence Saban has on a large community and thanking him for creating the video.
“America loves shooting messengers and ignoring messages, so thank God for Nick Saban,” Torre says as he opens the video.
Torre continues with more praise for Saban, along with reasons as to why the message he sent out can have a bigger impact than the CDC’s.
“On a reasonable planet, Saban’s warning would be honestly forgettable, but on our planet, where masks are somehow weapons in a culture war, I cannot stop thinking about how useful Saban’s voice actually is. If anyone is immune to the charges of virtue signaling, it’s the head football coach at Alabama. And if anyone transcends PC culture, it’s probably the guy who celebrated winning a national title by saying ‘that damn game cost me a week of recruiting.'”
