March Madness was unceremoniously canceled, but some current and former Michigan basketball players have found a way to significantly entertain for — well — 45 seconds.

Sure, it’s not the same, but it’s better than nothing in the dead of April and ‘quarantine lyfe.’

Taking to TikTok, Adrian Nunez — who was announced to be returning to Ann Arbor for his junior year — posted a clever ‘highlight’ package, that didn’t just feature himself, but also head coach Juwan Howard, the Wagner brothers and Charles Matthews.

It’s definitely worth the literal less than a minute it takes to watch it, and should give Michigan basketball fans something of a boost.

Adrian Nunez set to return for junior year at Michigan

The Wolverines scholarship situation just got a little more murky in 2020-21.

Who knows exactly what Michigan basketball’s scholarship situation is at current.

There are currently five commitments in the 2020 class, with an anticipated sixth if five-star SG Joshua Christopher chooses to wear maize and blue. As far as losses are concerned, right now, the Wolverines only lose seniors Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske — assuming the NCAA doesn’t allow a provision for those impacted by the cancellation of the conference and NCAA tournaments to return with some sort of eligibility — but Juwan Howard noted on a teleconference on Thursday that Isaiah Livers and Franz Wagner are considering their professional options.

Now, one piece that many speculated could be a potential departure is instead staying in Ann Arbor, according to The Athletic‘s Brendan Quinn ($).

Adrian Nunez averaged 7.6 minutes in 22 games played in 2019-20, but wasn’t a key piece in the rotation, as were Brandon Johns, Austin Davis and David DeJulius. However, he’s going to give it another go in Ann Arbor, returning for his junior year and not transferring.

His mother, Jenny Nunez, said you can scratch Nunez off the list of potential transfers. In a text message Thursday night, she said Nunez “is True Blue and will be attending (Michigan) next year.”

There will certainly have to be some attrition should all of the eligible returnees come back, as well as the additions via the 2020 recruiting class.

Juwan Howard had already announced at the end of the 2020 season that fifth-year center Austin Davis was offered another year and had accepted a return to Michigan in 2020-21.
