Texas A&M star OL has officially announced his return for the 2025 season

Texas A&M left tackle Trey Zuhn III is officially headed back to College Station for a final season

On Tuesday afternoon, Texas A&M starting offensive lineman Trey Zuhn III announced his official return for the 2025 season during an interview with TexAgs’ Ali Russell, as the senior left tackle could have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft but opted to improve his future stock.

On paper, Texas A&M OL coach Adam Cushing has managed to keep the entire 2024 offensive line intact, and outside of losing several reserve players, led by sophomore center TJ Shanahan, who transferred to Penn State earlier this month.

Still, Zuhn re-joins left guard Chase Bisontis, center Mark Nabou, right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, and right tackles Dametreious Crowover and Reuben Fatheree. Zuhn’s importance is undeniable, as the veteran pass protector possesses the size, strength, and athleticism to become a first-round draft pick.

During the 2024 season, Zuhn was rated as one of the top-performing tackles by Pro Football Focus, earning a 75.1 overall grade, 81.1 pass-blocking grade, and 67.9 run-blocking grade.

Offensively, Texas A&M’s passing game under quarterback Marcel Reed will be dictated by the protection up front, as Zuhn’s return should only boost his confidence under center.

Texas A&M senior OL finished the 2024 season as the country top run blocker’s

Texas A&M right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams is entering his final collegiate season as the nations top run blocker

Texas A&M’s 2024 offensive line didn’t receive the praise it deserved compared to what we witnessed the season prior, as first-year OL coach Adam Cushing’s immediate impact in the trenches is a great sign for the program’s future.

Offensively, Texas A&M produced 2,734 passing yards and 19 touchdowns, combined with 2,734 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns, aided by the run blocking from senior offensive lineman Ar’maj Reed-Adams, who started at right guard for most of the 2024 season.

In late December, just weeks after the conclusion of the season, Reed-Adams announced his return for a final season with the Aggies amid rumors that he would declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, as every 2024 starter, including left tackle Trey Zuhn, left guard Chase Bisontis, injured center Mark Nabou, and right tackle duo Dametreious Crownover and Reuben Fatheree.

According to Pro Football Focus, Reed-Adams finished the season with the highest run-blocking grade in the nation (86.1) and a 79.8 overall defensive grade, while 18 offensive linemen earned at least 60 grades for the season.

With the return of star running back Le’Veon Moss, paired with Reuben Owens, Amari Daniels, and two freshmen additions, Texas A&M’s running game will be the focus under OC Collin Klein, making Reed-Adam’s return more critical.

After the NFL declaring deadline, Texas A&M’s O-line is in good shape next season

With the return of Trey Zuhn III and Mark Nabou, Texas A&M’s original 2024 staring O-line will all return next season

Late last week, the deadline for players with special circumstances due to bowl games and playoff matchups was up, and for Texas A&M, junior starting left tackle Trey Zuhn’s name was not included in the final list, meaning that he will return for the 2025 season.

This is significant news for an offensive line that needs continuity after improving last season. Still, for starting quarterback Marcel Reed to take the next step in his development, Zuhn’s return to protect his blindside was undoubtedly one of the biggest offseason questions that has now been answered.

Before the deadline, it was already known that nearly every O-line starter last season, including left guard Chase Bisontis, right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, and right tackles Dametrious Crownover and Reuben Fatheree, adding to the bookend depth,

While sophomore center TJ Shanahan transferred to Penn State this offseason, Texas A&M’s six freshman offensive linemen, including five-star OT Lamont Rogers, O-line coach Adam Cushing has a busy spring season ahead of him before creating what looks like the most talented offensive line depth chart in the SEC.

Texas A&M’s coaching staff recently visited 2026 4-star OL out of the DFW area

2026 4-star OL Zaden Krempin received a visit from Texas A&M’s coaching staff this week

Texas A&M’s recruiting strategy under coach Mike Elko isn’t vastly different from that of former head coach Jimbo Fisher, except for the enhanced focus on the Dallas Fort Worth area, which is a sight for sore eyes among the fan base.

Alongside offensive line coach Adam Cushing, Elko paid a visit to 2026 four-star offensive tackle Zaden Krempin out of Prosper (TX), a recruiting pipeline to Texas Tech, as Cushing has kept his eye on the incoming senior who has risen in the recruiting rankings heading into his 2025 senior season.

This offseason, it’s clear that Elko and Cushing are looking to load up in the trenches in every recruiting cycle after adding six offensive line signees in the 2025 class. Last Saturday’s junior day included visits from 2026 five-star offensive tackles Jackson Cantwell and Immanuel Iheanacho.

Kremlin, who stands at a solid 6-5 and is over 270 pounds, already thrives as a run blocker and is still developing as a pass protector, though his hand placement and footwork continue to improve every season.

According to 247Sports Composite, Krempin is currently positioned as the 180th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 12th-ranked interior offensive lineman, and the 24th-ranked prospect in Texas.

2026 5-star OL Jackson Cantwell praises Texas A&M’s coaching staff after weekend visit

The No. 1-ranked prospect in the 2026 recruiting class is high on the Aggie coaching staff after visiting this weekend

It was a busy weekend for Texas A&M football, as coach Mike Elko and his staff, especially O-line coach Adam Cushing, hosted the No. 1 and No. 2-ranked offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class during Saturday’s first junior day of the offseason.

Five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, who will reportedly visit Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Oklahoma over the next few months, enjoyed his visit to Texas A&M, knowing that the successful history of O-line development was just part of what the Aggies offer in the trenches.

This weekend, Jackson Cantwell, the top-ranked prospect for the 2026 cycle and a five-star OT, also made a visit. During his interview with On3’s Chad Simmons, he shared several insightful quotes that cast A&M’s coaching staff in a favorable light.

While this is just the start of his relationship with the Aggies, Cantwell’s return since he was just a young player on the rise in 2020 looked a lot different, as Elko and his staff have made him the priority prospect in the cycle.

“Coach Cushing’s ball knowledge and ability to teach stood out a lot too. How coach Klein operates his offense also caught my attention.”

However, while the X’s and O’s are critical, culture and overall fit are high on Cantwell’s list of needs, and Texas A&M is beginning to check off several boxes.

“The development, culture, coaching staff and continued interest make the Aggies a contender. We will see how the official visits shake out, but I like the Aggies a lot.”

According to 247Sports Composite, Jackson Cantwell is currently the No. 1-ranked recruit, offensive lineman, and prospect out of Missouri.

Texas A&M OL coach Adam Cushing recently visited 2026 Tampa Bay (FL) 4-star OL

Texas A&M OL coach Adam Cushing recently visited one of the rising O-line prospects in the 2026 recruiting class

Texas A&M’s offensive identity isn’t confusing; no matter how Aggie fans feel about OC Collin Klein, who will enter his second season with the program, the offensive line play is central to any success, especially from a physicality standpoint.

In the Aggies’ 8th-ranked 2025 recruiting class,  coach Mike Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing landed six offensive line signees, led by future star left tackle, five-star prospect Lamont Rogers, and rising four-star guard Nelson McGuire. However, Elko and Cushing want to add more beef to the line in the 2026 cycle.

This week, Cushing took a trip to Florida to visit 2026 four-star offensive lineman Canon Pickett, one of the rising interior O-linemen in the cycle. While Miami is a current favorite to land Pickett’s commitment, the Aggies have made him a priority moving forward.

Over his last two high school seasons, Pickett has started at left tackle but will likely move inside at guard at the next level, mainly due to his size, strength, and run-blocking prowess.

According to 247Sports, Pickett is currently positioned as the 45th-ranked IOL prospect in the class and the 64th-ranked prospect out of Florida.

2025 5-star OT out of Mesquite (TX) has committed to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has landed one of the top offensive linemen in the 2025 class!

Boom! Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko is putting the finishing touches on his first complete recruiting class in the 2025 cycle as Early Signing Day begins on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, it was announced that 2025 5-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers has committed to the Aggies after decommitting from Missouri on Monday afternoon. After flirting with the option over the last month, the Mesquite, Texas native is headed to College Station with the talent and size to impact the trenches immediately.

Rogers is one of the more athletic blockers with substantial size, standing at nearly 6-6.5 and 311 pounds. He is already thriving as a run-blocker. At the same time, his pass protection skill set is a work in progress, though his use of leverage is above average.

Rogers is the first five-star offensive line commit for Texas A&M since landing guard Kenyon Green, who is currently starting along the Houston Texans O-line.

According to 247Sports Composite, Rogers is currently positioned as the 27th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 6th-ranked offensive tackle, and the 9th-ranked prospect in Texas.

Texas A&M is still in the running 2025 5-star OT and Oklahoma commit

Texas A&M’s coaching staff is attempting to flip 2025 5-star OT Michael Fasusi from Oklahoma

Texas A&M’s recruiting momentum under first-year head coach Mike Elko has continued this deep into the regular season, as the Aggies’ recent win over LSU in front of nearly 50 recruits led to three consecutive commitments in the 2026 cycle.

In the 2025 cycle, Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing have landed six offensive line commitments, with the latest being 4-star guard Nelson McGuire, one of the more underated propsects in the trenches. However, the program failed to reel in the big fish that is 5-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi, who committed to Oklahoma in late August.

While the Sooners had been the favorite for quite some time, the program’s future under head coach Brent Venables is in shaky territory, currently sitting at 5-4 and 1-4 in SEC play while consistently looking like one of the worst teams in the conference on a weekly basis.

According to Rivals recruiting insider Sam Spiegelman, both Texas A&M and the Texas Longhorns coaching staffs are working to flip Fasusi’s commitment, as Elko and Cushing are attempting get the talented tackle back to College Station, most likely for the blockbust regular season finale vs. Texas on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Currently sitting atop the SEC standings with a 5-0 conference record, the Aggies are looking like the team to beat on the recruiting trail, especially the 2024 team continues to rack up wins.

Texas A&M OL Adam Cushing is ‘one of the best OL coaches in the country’

Texas A&M OL coach Adam Cushing was one of the best hires of the offseason

The first half of Texas A&M’s 2024 season ended with a 41-10 blowout win over the Missouri Tigers last Saturday afternoon. The Aggies have found their identity, leading to a 5-1 start and a 3-0 conference-leading record.

On defense, A&M’s pass rush, led by defensive ends Nic Scourton and Shemar Stewart, has found life, racking up six tackles and eight tackles for loss against the Tigers. In contrast, the return of starting quarterback Conner Weigman has led to a resurgence of offense through the air.

However, it’s been the ground game, and junior running back Le’Veon Moss, currently leading the SEC with 609 rushing yards, while finding every hole the revamped offensive line has provided him.

In the trenches, most of the 2023 offensive line returned this season under new O-line coach Adam Cushing, who followed head coach Mike Elko from Duke after a successful two-year stint. On Wednesday, during Elko’s appearance at the Houston Touchdown Club, the first-year leader praised Cushing coaching, as the Aggie O-line has been one of the better groups in the country through six games.

“I was extremely confident from the day he got here that he would make us the best OL we could be. Coach Cushing in one of the best OL coaches in the country. If I could send my son to play for anyone I’d send him to play for coach Cushing.”

Elko’s statement that he would send his own son to play under Cushing is an example of the veteran assistant’s leadership qualities and focus on developing talent, especially players like starting left tackle Trey Zuhn and starting left guard Chase Bisontis.

In pass protection, a weakness last season, A&M’s O-line has only allowed seven sacks in six games, the majority of which came during backup quarterback Marcel Reed’s three games under center. Even more impressive, the Aggies are ranked 8th nationally in tackles for loss allowed, with an average of only three per game.

Penalties have been an issue and need to be cleaned up after the bye week, but Adam Cushing has done his job and more.

2025 4-star OL out of Midlothian (TX) has committed to Texas A&M

The Aggies have added a future OL starter in the 2025 cycle

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class just added one of the rising prospects in the cycle, as head coach Mike Elko Aggies’ OL coach Adam Cushing have landed a commitment from 4-star offensive lineman Nelson McGuire on Monday.

Standing at 6-4, 320 pounds, McGuire is one of the more athletic OL prospects in the class due to impressive footwork and hand placement, while his run-blocking skillset is starting to match with his pass protection prowess.

After visiting Texas A&M on Saturday during the Aggie’s Week 6 41-10 blowout win over the Missouri Tigers, McGuire knew that College Station would be his next home after watching A&M’s O-line dominate throughout the afternoon.

With his commitment, Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class now has 22 commits, including six offensive lineman, as Cushing’s OL development through six games this season has influenced nearly every offensive line prospect to at least consider the Aggies.

According to 247Sports, McGuire is positioned as the 30th-ranked IOL and the 83rd-ranked prospect in Texas.
