Michigan State women’s basketball wins Acrisure Classic

MSU is bringing hardware back to East Lansing

Michigan State women’s basketball took home the Acrisure Classic on Wednesday, defeating Vanderbilt 78-70 to take home the trophy.

After beating California, 78-72, to make the final, the Spartans took care of their business to bring home a trophy to East Lansing.

The Spartans were led by their two stars, Grace VanSlooten (25 points) and Julia Ayrault (24 points), dominating the Commodores to victory.

The 8-0 Spartans will come back home to the Breslin Center on Dec. 8 for a home matchup against DePaul, defending their undefeated record.

Michigan State women’s basketball won the Acrisure Classic when they defeated Vanderbilt on Wednesday, 78-70, earning themselves a trophy early in the year, while starting out the 2024-25 season 8-0.
