Giants’ Leonard Williams, four others out vs. Bears

The New York Giants have listed five players out against the Chicago Bears, including DL Leonard Williams and WR Kadarius Toney.

The New York Giants were hopeful to get several injured players back against the Chicago Bears but will have to wait another week on many.

Wide receivers Kadarius Toney and Wan’Dale Robinson aren’t ready to go just yet, and the same is true for defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who was also listed out.

On the plus side, cornerback Aaron Robinson will make his return to the field and it couldn’t come soon enough. Rookie Cor’Dale Flott will miss Sunday’s Week 4 game with a calf injury.

Also in the good news department, defensive lineman Jihad Ward will be available after missing practice earlier in the week.

Full injury reports for both the Giants and Bears can be found below:

Giants injury report: Jihad Ward returns to practice, Leonard Williams sits

New York Giants DL Jihad Ward returned to practice on Thursday, but the news wasn’t as good for WR Kadarius Toney or DL Leonard Williams.

The New York Giants returned to the field on Thursday afternoon with “Fantastic Voyage” blaring over the loudspeakers in honor of rapper Coolio, who passed away at the age of 59 on Wednesday.

A day removed from the team’s walkthrough, all eyes were on the likes of Kadarius Toney, Leonard Williams and Aaron Robinson.

The bad news? Toney and Williams remain sidelined. The good news? Robinson was practicing and appears poised to make his return on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

The Giants’ Thursday injury report can be found below:

Did not participate: WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee), CB Nick McCloud (hamstring), WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring), DL Leonard Williams (knee), CB Cor’Dale Flott (calf)

Limited participant: CB Aaron Robinson (appendicitis), DL Jihad Ward (knee)

Full participant: CB Justin Layne (concussion)

Giants injury report: Aaron Robinson ‘trending upward’

The New York Giants held a walkthrough on Wednesday and head coach Brian Daboll says CB Aaron Robinson is “trending up.”

The New York Giants returned to the building on Wednesday following a Week 3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Given that they played on Monday night, the team held a walkthrough that was closed to the media.

Prior to practice, head coach Brian Daboll said rookie cornerback Cor’Dale Flott would be added to the injury report. He also noted that several other players, including wide receiver Kadarius Toney, would continue to be managed.

The good news? Daboll noted cornerback Aaron Robinson was “trending up.”

The Giants’ (projected) Wednesday injury report can be found below:

Did not participate: WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee), CB Nick McCloud (hamstring), WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring), DL Leonard Williams (knee), CB Cor’Dale Flott (calf), WR Sterling Shepard (knee), DL Jihad Ward (knee)

Giants’ Kadarius Toney doubtful, 4 out vs. Cowboys

The New York Giants have ruled four out and listed WR Kadarius Toney and DL Leonard Williams as doubtful against the Cowboys in Week 3.

The New York Giants will likely get edge rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari back on Monday against the Dallas Cowboys, but they’ll be without a few others.

As anticipated, cornerback Aaron Robinson will not play after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. He is expected to be joined by wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who missed the team’s previous two practices with a lingering hamstring injury.

Rookie wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson will also miss his second consecutive game.

Giants injury report: Kadarius Toney a projected non-participant

The New York Giants released a projected injury report on Friday and WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) was downgraded from the day prior.

The New York Giants did not have an official practice on Friday but did release a projected injury report following the day’s meetings and walkthrough.

Nothing had changed since the day prior with one alarming exception: wide receiver Kadarius Toney was listed as a non-participant.

Toney has been dealing with a hamstring issue for several weeks and the fact that he was DNP on a projection does not bode well for his potential availability on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Giants’ (projected) Friday injury report can be found below:

Did not participate: DL Leonard Williams (knee), CB Aaron Robinson (appendicitis), CB Nick McCloud (hamstring), WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee), CB Justin Layne (concussion), WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring)

Limited participant: LB Kayvon Thibodeaux (knee), LB Azeez Ojulari (calf), OL Jon Feliciano (shin), S Jason Pinnock (shoulder), DB Dane Belton (clavicle)

Full participant: N/A

New York Giants WR Kadarius Toney returned to practice on Thursday, while Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari appear ready to go.

The New York Giants returned to the practice field on Thursday as they continue preparations for a Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Head coach Brian Daboll says edge rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari are both making strides and indicated they are likely to play on Monday night. Both players have seen an uptick in practice reps.

Ojulari declared himself good to go.

Wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who sat out of practice on Wednesday, returned on a limited basis.

Daboll also wouldn’t officially rule defensive lineman Leonard Williams out for the team’s Monday night game, although it remains unlikely that he’ll play.

Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux doubtful, 4 out vs. Panthers

The New York Giants have ruled 4 players out, and Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari as doubtful against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.

The New York Giants wrapped up their second week of regular season practice on Friday and unfortunately, saw their injury report grow.

Among those added throughout the week were wide receiver Kadarius Toney (hamstring) and swing tackle Devery Hamilton (illness). On the plus side, rookie safety Dane Belton (clavicle) practiced in full and will make his NFL debut on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

The news was far more uncertain for edge rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux (knee) and Azeez Ojulari (calf). They were limited throughout the week but each run the risk of missing their second consecutive game on Sunday.

Full injury reports for both the Giants and Panthers can be found below:

Giants injury report: Kadarius Toney limited with hamstring issue

The New York Giants saw a few changes to their injury report on Thursday with WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring) being added.

The New York Giants were back on the practice field Thursday and a few things changed from the day prior.

Rookie edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux, who head coach Brian Daboll said did some team work on Wednesday, was again limited. The same held true for fellow edge rusher Azeez Ojulari.

The status and participation of other injured Giants, including wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, remained the same. The good news came via cornerback Aaron Robinson, who is scheduled to be released from the hospital following an emergency appendectomy.

On the downside of things, wide receiver Kadarius Toney was added to the injury report with a hamstring issue.

The Giants’ full Thursday injury report can be found below:

Did not participate: CB Nick McCloud (hamstring), WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee), CB Aaron Robinson (appendicitis), OL Devery Hamilton (illness)

Limited participant: LB Kayvon Thibodeaux (knee), LB Azeez Ojulari (calf), OL Jon Feliciano (lower leg), S Jason Pinnock (shoulder), WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring)

Giants injury report: Kayvon Thibodeaux, Azeez Ojulari limited

Three players missed practice for the New York Giants on Wednesday and four others, including Kayvon Thibodeaux, were limited.

The New York Giants returned to the practice field on Wednesday and they were noticeably short.

In addition to cornerback Aaron Robinson, who will miss Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers following an appendectomy, several other players sat out. Among them was wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who head coach Brian Daboll says is “day-to-day.”

Edge rushers Azeez Ojulari and Kayvon Thibodeaux were technically limited, but their workload was exceptionally light. Thibodeaux did slightly more than Ojulari.

The Giants’ full Wednesday injury report can be found below:

Did not participate: CB Nick McCloud (hamstring), WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee), CB Aaron Robinson (appendicitis)

Limited participant: LB Kayvon Thibodeaux (knee), LB Azeez Ojulari (calf), OL Jon Feliciano (lower leg), S Jason Pinnock (shoulder)

Giants’ Aaron Robinson out vs. Panthers following appendectomy

New York Giants CB Aaron Robinson is out for a Week 2 game against the Carolina Panthers after having his appendix removed.

New York Giants cornerback Aaron Robinson, who played well against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1, will not be able to suit up against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Head coach Brian Daboll informed reporters on Wednesday that Robinson underwent surgery to remove his appendix and will not return in time for the Week 2 game.

The 23-year-old Robinson, who was a third-round pick of the Giants in the 2021 NFL draft, started across from Adoree’ Jackson in Week 1 and recorded five tackles (four solo) and one pass defensed. He earned a 73.4 grade from Pro Football Focus.

Daboll said that a practice competition this week will determine who starts at CB2 on Sunday.

Nick McCloud would be the usual go-to, but he is expected miss practice on Wednesday after suffering a hamstring injury against the Titans. That leaves Darnay Holmes, who started Week 1 at nickel, Justin Layne and rookie Cor’Dale Flott.

The team also has Fabian Moreau and Zyon Gilbert on the practice squad.

Given the injuries to Robinson and McCloud, it’s likely the Giants sign a cornerback at some point this week.
