Oklahoma Sooners get prediction for 4-Star 2025 running back

The 2025 recruiting cycle has be gone and Oklahoma receives yet another prediction for talented 2025 running back.

The Oklahoma Sooners are off and running on their 2025 recruiting class. The Sooners are currently sitting with a top-five 2025 class and nine commitments.

They are hoping to add to that after a strong Junior Day this past weekend. One of those guys could be 4-Star running back from Humble, TX, Tory Blaylock. The Sooners got another prediction for Blaylock, this time from 247Sports Oklahoma Insider Collin Kennedy.

The Sooners currently do not have a running back committed. Blaylock is the 12th-best running back in the country according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s also a top 160 overall player.

This would be a huge win for Oklahoma if they are able to pull it off but there is obviously still a long way to go before signing day.

Oklahoma Sooners receive prediction for highly-touted 2025 linebacker/EDGE rusher

Sooners are hoping for another solid defensive recruiting class by landing a prediction for talented 4-Star linebacker/EDGE.

The Oklahoma Sooners recently hired a new defensive coordinator, Zach Alley. Since then, the defensive staff has not slowed down at all in their 2025 recruiting efforts.

Miguel Chavis and Todd Bates are coming off a great recruiting cycle in 2024 helping the Sooners land one of the best defensive line classes in program history. Now they hope to build on it.

They currently have two commits on the defensive line and they are hoping 2025 4-Star linebacker/EDGE rusher Max Granville could be the next one. 247Sports Oklahoma Insider Collin Kennedy even went so far as putting in a prediction for the Sooners to land Granville.

The Sooners currently have a huge lead over the SMU Mustangs according to On3’s prediction machine. He comes in as a top 75 player and the No. 6 ranked EDGE in the country.

What might be most impressive about Granville is his athleticism. The 6-foot-3 and 220-pound defender also competes in track and field. He posted a 47-2.75 shot put as a sophomore and also got extensive reps in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, as well as the 4×400 relay in Spring 2023.

Chavis has started to show he can be one of the best recruiters in the country and if he were to get Granville’s commitment, that would only add to that.

Oklahoma Sooners set to host 2025 5-Star safety

Junior day is just around the corner and one of the top defensive recruits is set to be at Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Sooners are hoping to continue their hot start to their 2025 recruiting class as they prepare for their junior day in just a few weeks. The Sooners are set to host several of the nation’s top juniors on Jan. 27, 2024.

One of the most high-profile players expected to be in attendance is Galveston, Texas native [autotag]Jonah Williams[/autotag]. The five-star is listed as a linebacker on most sites, but safeties coach [autotag]Brandon Hall[/autotag] is his primary recruiter, signaling where Oklahoma expects him to play.

The Texas Longhorns are currently the leader for Williams, according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine at 43.4%. But Oklahoma is a close second at 25.7%. Williams is also a highly touted baseball player, so I’m sure Oklahoma will use that to help land the safety.

They’ve had great success with that, landing two in the 2024 class. Williams finished last season with 54 tackles, four tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, a fumble returned for a touchdown, four interceptions, taking three for scores, and two punt and kick return touchdowns.

This was after an incredible 2022 campaign that saw him be named the Texas District 9-5A-I Overall MVP as a sophomore and help his school go undefeated in the regular season for a defense that only allowed 31 total points in 11 games, while the offense averaged 51 points per game.

Safe to say, this would be a huge win, and it starts with a great junior day visit.

Oklahoma Sooners predicted to land 2025 4-Star cornerback

A prediction has been put in in favor of the Oklahoma Sooners for 4-Star 2025 cornerback.

The Oklahoma Sooners continue to hit the recruiting trail hard in the 2025 recruiting class. The Sooners currently have the No. 4 class in the country.

It feels like just about every week, Oklahoma is earning a new prediction for a 2025 recruit or a commit. On Friday night, they earned a commitment from EDGE rusher [autotag]Alexander Shieldnight[/autotag]. This time the Sooners received a prediction from On3 and SoonerScoop’s Josh McCuiston for four-star cornerback from Texas, Cobey Sellers.

Sellers is six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. He’s a defensive back who is ranked as the No. 16 cornerback in the country. Sellers is also a top 250 overall recruit on every recruiting site and would be a big addition to [autotag]Jay Valai[/autotag]’s cornerback room.

Oklahoma is currently the favorite to land the talented cornerback with the Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers, [autotag]Baylor Bears[/autotag] and [autotag]SMU Mustangs[/autotag] lurking. Oklahoma has an 89% chance of landing Sellers, according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine.

The Sooners currently have eight commits in 2025 already. With a top-five class in 2023 and trending toward another top 10 class in 2024, they have a chance to start stacking big-time classes ahead of their move to the SEC.

There is still a long way to go with Sellers, and he hasn’t set a commitment date, but there is no question the Sooners are off to a great start.
