Top QB prospect Shedeur Sanders will play in this postseason bowl

Top QB prospect Shedeur Sanders will participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl, the event announced

The first major quarterback commitment to an all-star game is now official. Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders has committed to play at the Shrine Bowl.

In a release on social media, The East-West Shrine Bowl proudly announced that Sanders will be at the annual event. The move makes Sanders the first major quarterback prospect to commit to any of the postseason games.

Sanders is the consensus top quarterback prospect in the draft class of 2025, though some analysts peg Miami’s Cam Ward or LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier higher. Playing under his father, Deion Sanders, as the head coach, Shedeur has led the Buffaloes to an 8-2 record and a chance to qualify for the College Football Playoff.

Chargers fortify the offense in latest two round mock draft

Browns Wire editor and NFL Draft expert Cory Kinnan gave the Chargers two offensive prospects in a mock draft released on Tuesday.

Riding a four game win streak after a nail-biting win over the Bengals on Sunday Night Football, the Chargers have a while before they need to think about the 2025 NFL Draft.

Nonetheless, there are some glaring holes on the current roster, ones that Browns Wire editor and NFL Draft expert Cory Kinnan tried to fill for Los Angeles in his latest mock draft, published on the Daft on Draft Substack.

Round 1, Pick 25: Ohio State G Donovan Jackson

From Kinnan:

The Los Angeles Chargers have built a mean identity. They are a gritty team but need another mauler along the interior of their offensive line. Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson will fortify that for the Chargers, who are starting Trey Pipkins at right guard. Jim Harbaugh wants to beat up the team across from him down by down, and Jackson helps that cause.

Pipkins hasn’t been the most glaring issue for the interior of the Chargers offensive line, but his performance also hasn’t been good enough to warrant him going into next season as an unquestioned starter. With $6.75 million of potential cap savings if Pipkins is released this offseason, Los Angeles may be more inclined to move on if a mauler of Jackson’s caliber is available.

Round 2, Pick 57: Bowling Green TE Harold Fannin Jr.

With Penn State’s Tyler Warren and Michigan’s Colston Loveland off the board by the time the Chargers pick at 25 in Kinnan’s mock, a tight end wasn’t a viable pick in the first round. Texas tight end Gunnar Helm comes off the board 12 picks before LA comes up, which leaves the Chargers with Fannin, a supercharged receiving option who has lit up Power 4 teams like Texas A&M and Penn State for the Falcons this season. Los Angeles needs a primary receiver at that spot – while Will Dissly’s career highs as a receiver have been a pleasant surprise, the Chargers need a more reliable weapon for Justin Herbert over the middle.

Vikings land injured CB in latest 2025 NFL mock draft from PFF

The mock used the recent draft order, which had the Vikings drafting 28th overall after the games of Week 11.

The 2025 NFL Draft is roughly six months away, yet it seems like it is right around the corner as discussions about the event heat up. Every media outlet, including us, has been putting out mock drafts.

In fact, we have a mock draft on Mondays every week here, and the latest can be found on our homepage.

The mock draft we discuss today is one from PFF’s NFL Draft podcast, The NFL Stock Exchange. The mock used the recent draft order, which had the Vikings drafting 28th overall after the games of Week 11. Connor Rogers ended up drafting a cornerback for the Vikings, Shavon Revel out of East Carolina.

Revel is out for the year with a torn ACL but was on pace to be a top-ten pick in the 2025 NFL Draft before the injury. He becomes a massive value for the Vikings, and his aggressive style would be a perfect match for Brian Flores and his defense.

The secondary isn’t an issue but it needs some youth injected into it, Revel does that.

Bucs land SEC defender in latest 2025 NFL mock draft from PFF

The mock draft we discuss today is one from PFF’s NFL Draft podcast, The NFL Stock Exchange. The mock used the recent draft order, which had the Bucs drafting 13th overall. They gave them Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker. They chose Walker because they liked his pass-rush ability and his ability to play linebacker.

Trevor Sikkema compared Walker’s play style to that of current Bucs player Yaya Diaby. He likes the idea of the Bucs addressing two positions with one pick seemingly but especially likes his potential as a pass rusher.

The Bucs defense is going to need some help this offseason, in this case, it came in the NFL Draft.

NFL Network evaluates Jaguars NFL draft needs for potential No. 1 pick

NFL Network evaluates Jaguars NFL draft needs for potential No. 1 pick

Jacksonville slipped back into possession of the No. 1 selection in the 2025 NFL draft after losing to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11, and its crippling Week 12 defeat against the Detroit Lions further entrenched the Jaguars into the top of the picking (not a typo) order.

There remain seven weeks of regular season NFL action to determine which non-playoff teams pick where.

But, in the event the Jaguars hold the top spot, NFL Network analyst Chad Reuter on Monday broke down Jacksonville’s biggest positional needs and analyzed arguably their biggest priority, improved protection for quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Biggest needs: CB, S, WR, OT, DT

Week 12 opponent: BYE

Remaining strength of schedule: .333 (32nd)

The Jaguars should be evaluating offensive tackle prospects in the top half of the draft as they look to protect Trevor Lawrence. Right tackle Anton Harrison and backup Javon Foster, a fourth-round pick this year, are the only true OTs under contract beyond this season with Walker Little headed for free agency.

NFL draft declarations have yet to begin pouring in from college football. But of anticipated prospects, four currently own first-round marks on the NFL Mock Draft Database’s consensus big board: LSU left tackle Will Campbell, Texas left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. and right tackle Cameron Williams, and Minnesota left tackle Aireontae Ersery.

The Jaguars are certain to be connected with star Colorado two-way player. cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter Jr., throughout the draft process so long as they maintain the top pick. He is the consensus No. 1 prospect in the draft pool.

Browns land Best Player Available with pick No. 3 in new mock draft

The Browns land the lethal Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham in a new mock draft

The Cleveland Browns would love a quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft, but a new mock draft has them selecting Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham instead.

Why is that? Because Colorado’s duo of quarterback Shedeur Sanders and playmaker Travis Hunter are already off of the board. Instead of reaching for another quarterback like Miami’s Cam Ward, they opt for the BPA (best player available) approach.

And that road leads to the ultra-physical and explosive Graham who has been a havoc wreaker from the very first time he stepped on the field for the Wolverines. A new mock draft by Daft on Draft has the Browns taking him at pick No. 3.

He is currently second in all of college football in pressures with 32, sitting with a career-high five sacks as well.

While the Browns just selected Mike Hall Jr. in the second round last year, the rest of the defensive tackles on the roster are 30 or older or on expiring contracts. That room needs an infusion of young explosiveness, and Graham gives them that as one of the best players in the entire 2025 NFL draft.

Browns wait until second round to land new QB in new mock draft

The Browns landed Alabama QB Jalen Milroe with pick No. 35 in a new mock draft.

It is no secret that the Cleveland Browns need a new quarterback, and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe lands in Northeast Ohio in a new mock draft after rising back up the boards.

But not where you would think.

Daft on Draft did a new mock draft, this time a two-round version, and Milroe was their selection with their second round pick. Similar to the Philadelphia Eagles with Jalen Hurts, this could be a situation where he is allowed to sit, and bridge again (perhaps with Jameis Winston again), while building up safeguards to get the dynamic playmaker on the field.

Without exaggerating, Milroe runs a 4.3 40-yard dash, which allows for creativity to spark in and of itself. He has taken a massive stride as a passer this season as well, showing the eyes and patience to hang in the pocket to work through concepts and deliver footballs to open receivers.

He has a chance to sneak back into the SEC Championship game and will get at least one matchup in the College Football Playoffs as well to prove he can become a trustworthy thrower under the bright lights.

If he does? Pick No. 35 where the Browns land him here might be too late.

Here’s where Patriots would draft in 2025 after loss to Rams

Here’s where the Patriots would draft if the season ended today

The New England Patriots moved up one spot in the 2025 NFL draft order, following their 28-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

According to Tankathon, if the season ended today, the Patriots would own the No. 6 overall draft pick.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are still at the top of the draft board with a 2-9 record. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants are all ahead of the Patriots with 2-8 records.

It hasn’t been pretty for the Patriots, but they are seeing continued improvements from rookie quarterback Drake Maye. With the quarterback position finally settled, there’s hope they can focus on other offensive improvements through free agency and the draft.

The draft board isn’t even close to being finished with there being six games left to go on the regular season schedule. Next up is a road game against the Miami Dolphins.

2025 NFL draft: Titans currently slated to pick 2nd overall

At the conclusion of Week 11, the Tennessee Titans are slated to select second overall in the 2025 NFL draft.

The more things change, the more things stay the same for the Tennessee Titans.

Although they put together one of their better games of the season, the Titans once again could not overcome the obstacles that developed during their 23-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.

There are many reasons for some fans to be outraged this week, between inconsistent offensive line play and questionable officiating, this game stings. Other fans who are solely focused on April and the 2025 NFL draft are delighted with the outcome and are celebrating.

While there is no way to predict how a season will end, the Titans appear to be on a collision course with the Jacksonville Jaguars to obtain the first pick in the draft. With two head-to-head match-ups on the horizon, these games will have more of an impact on draft standings than they do inside the AFC South.

If the season ended today, the Jaguars and Titans would have the first and second pick in the draft.  With the Houston Texans on the horizon in Week 12, there is a good chance that the Titans will remain rather static with their positioning for the next few weeks.

The Titans will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Houston to take on the Texans at NRG Stadium in Week 12 action.

Browns continue journey up 2025 NFL draft board with another loss

The Browns currently hold pick No. 3 in the 2025 NFL draft.

The Cleveland Browns have nothing to look forward to in the regular season except for 2025 NFL draft positioning, so that is what we are looking forward to as well.

After yet another loss, this time at the hands of the New Orleans Saints, the Browns now climb even higher up the draft board. Where exactly do they sit, however?

With just seven games remaining, the Browns currently hold the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The only two teams ahead of them are the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans. Unfortunately for the Browns at this point, the Titans are also in need of a quarterback.

To get in position for the one quarterback worth the top pick in this draft, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, the Browns will need to continue their losing ways and hope the Titans win at least one more than them along the way.

Their best bet as we stand today would be to take the best player available. This could include the likes of Colorado’s playmaker Travis Hunter, Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, or even the surprise pick of Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.
