Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has made significant headway with one of the top uncommitted 2025 prospects. Four-star wide receiver Quanell X Farrakhan Jr., who transferred to the prestigious North Shore HS before his 2024 senior season, released his final Top 3 program list on Easter Sunday.
Farrakhan’s profile has continued to rise. He received 20 offers, including Alabama, just days after receiving his offer from Texas A&M. Unsurprisingly, The Aggies joined Alabama and Nebraska in his Top 3 and likely final program list before committing to a program.
Even more interesting, Penn State, who was a favorite to land his commitment early in the process, is now out of the picture. At the same time, the Crimson Tide made significant strides early last month, taking several unofficial visits to Tuscaloosa compared to his one visit to Texas A&M back in early Feb.

It’s no surprise Elko and his staff are intrigued by Farrakhan’s skill set. The quick and elusive route runner amassed 2,086 receiving yards, 330 rushing yards, and 35 total touchdowns from 2021-2023 and is on track to put up big numbers in 2024 in his first and final high school season.
