Florida edge rusher will visit Notre Dame this weekend

The Irish lead early?

You can add yet another name to the impressive list of visitors that will be in South Bend this coming weekend. Today on Twitter, Florida 2024 edge rusher Joshua Lloyd announced that he will be heading up north and making an unofficial visit to Notre Dame.

Although Lloyd just holds two offers, one of them is from the Irish. At six-foot-one-inch and 220-pounds, he’s not the prototypical body type that you look for in an edge rusher. This should be telling as how Marcus Freeman and his staff project Lloyd, as he will most likely continue to add on weight and move to an interior spot on the defensive line.

With the Irish offering early and also getting a visit, it looks like Notre Dame is very much in the mix for a verbal from Lloyd.

Five-star California quarterback set to visit Notre Dame very soon

Time to impress the young man

The Irish are still without a 2024 commitment, but that is not stopping Marcus Freeman from scouring across the country looking for the best talent at every position. Getting those players on campus is the first goal and that’s exactly what is happening with California five-star quarterback Julian Sayin.

After a extremely impressive sophomore season, the signal caller holds an impressive offer list which includes the Irish along with Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, USC and others. With the offers piling up, Sayin needs to start looking at schools and fortunately for the Irish, they’re getting a visit from the rising star.

Sayin tweeted out that he will be visiting on April 7th, just two weeks from now. He will be visiting Georgia on the first on April and follow up his visit to South Bend by traveling up north and looking around Ann Arbor.

It’s a great first step in Sayin’s recruitment that the Irish get a chance to impress the young player early. Hopefully this is the first of many visits to Notre Dame.

This intriguing 2024 prospect showing interest in Florida basketball

The Florida Gators basketball program has shown interest in this class of 2024 point guard recruit, the son of a former NBA player.

Mike White and his Florida Gators staff are focusing on the future of the basketball program on the recruiting circuit, targeting big prospects in the 2022 and 2023 classes. But the Gators are a program to watch for one 2024 prospect as well.

Point guard Jahseem Felton is a prospect in the 2024 class that is receiving a lot of attention in his recruitment. The South Carolina native is the cousin of former North Carolina and national champion point guard Raymond Felton.

But Jahseem is making a path of his own in high school and has received some interest from programs like Florida, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Kansas, South Alabama and Wake Forest, all programs that have offered the talented recruit.

(function (d, s, n) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
js = d.createElement(s);
js.className = n;
js.src = “//player.ex.co/player/e5869bc6-faf6-4b7a-8c06-b5610c96a8fe”;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘exco-player’));

Felton talked to Rivals’ recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw about the teams that have offered him, dishing on the Gators in the process:

Florida: “An SEC school, great offer. A lot of great players come from there. A lot of people from my AAU team (BMaze Elite) went there, so I know some people there.”

The Gators appear to be in good standing for this talented recruit but we should note that there is a long way to go in this recruitment. Felton is a 2024 recruit and while he’s gaining a lot of interest so far, that’s likely to increase over time.

Michigan State Football offers 2024 ATH Khalil Bolden

Michigan State has sent out an offer to another top player in the class of 2024. This time it is wide receiver/safety Khalil “KJ” Bolden.

Michigan State has sent out an offer to another top player in the class of 2024. A few weeks ago, they sent out an offer to stud wide receiver Nick Marsh. Now they have offered wide receiver and safety Khalil “KJ” Bolden.

Bolden, who is 6’2″ and 181 pounds, can play both sides of the ball and is considered a top prospect in the class of 2024. He attends Buford High School in his hometown of Buford, Georgia. He is currently unranked like all other 2024 prospects, but expect him to be a four or five-star athlete when more recruiting becomes available.

Bolden has already received an offer from another division 1 school in Florida State. Bolden has great speed from what I can see on the tapes, he also has good strength and ball carrier vision. He can easily find the open lane and take it to the house. Expect Michigan State to focus heavily on Bolden and try to have him commit to MSU.

Michigan State Football offers 2024 WR Nicholas Marsh

Less than 24 hours after his state high school championship game, 2024 WR Nicholas Marsh announced that he has received an offer from MSU.

[jwplayer HlkbFwOo-PROpJzTY]

Less than 24 hours after his state high school championship game, wide receiver Nicholas Marsh announced that he has received an offer from Michigan State University. Marsh attends River Rouge High School and was on the losing end of a 40-30 game against DeWitt.

Marsh, who is 6’3″ and 195 pounds, is currently unranked and has no stars on 247sports. Not surprising since he is just a freshman, but could easily be a 4-star wide receiver when it gets closer to 2024. Marsh did have a touchdown yesterday during the state championship, and it was a nice one at that.

Despite only being a freshman in high school, he has already received five offers. The other schools to offer him are Central Michigan, Kentucky, Maryland, and West Virginia. Expect many other schools to join in the recruitment for Marsh as he is a young and talented prospect.
