PHOTOS: Boston vs. Cleveland – Cavs blitz Celtics with 118-94 Game 2 win

Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 1 of their second round series vs. the Cavs. xx

The Boston Celtics fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-94 at TD Garden Thursday night. The series now stands at 1-1, and the next two games will be played in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers were the more aggressive team from the jump. They used their speed to press the Celtics offense, resulting in a ton of open looks at the rim. For the game, Cleveland logged 60 points in the paint. To make matters worse for Boston, the Cavs shot a blistering13-for-28 on 3-pointers, while the Celtics were ice-cold from deep. Cleveland was simply the more polished and focused team, as evidenced by the final score. Much like Game 2 of the opening round of the postseason, the road team took care of business while Boston never found the right gear.

Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 2 of their second round series vs. the Cavs.

PHOTOS: Boston vs. Cleveland – Celtics best Cavs 120-95 in Game 1

Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 1 of their second round series vs. the Cavs.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-95 Tuesday night at TD Garden, grabbing a Game 1 victory to open the Eastern Conference semifinals. Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with an efficient 32 points in 34 minutes of action, helping the Celtics cruise to an easy win.

During the regular season Boston was better on both ends of the ball than Cleveland, and the Celtics are big favorites in the series, Beyond superstar Donovan Mitchell, the Cavaliers don’t have a ton of offensive firepower. Mitchell ended the night with a game-high 33 points, but this was not enough for Cleveland to keep pace with Boston. The Celtics, meanwhile, had five players score 14 or more points. Expect that disparity to be a theme in the series for as long as it lasts. Game 2 is set for Thursday night in Boston.

Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 1 of their second round series vs. the Cavs.

Celtics: Kristaps Porzingis to miss Game 5 with soleus strain

The Celtics have officially ruled Kristaps Porzingis out for Game 5 against the Heat.

The Boston Celtics announced big man Kristaps Porzingis will miss Game 5 of the opening round of the 2024 NBA postseason against the Miami Heat Wednesday night. Porzingis left Game 4 with an apparent calf injury and did not return to action.

The team officially dubbed the injury a soleus strain, the severity of which is unknown at this time. The soleus is a muscle in the calf that helps support the work of the Achilles tendon. A strain here can be painful, but more importantly, can lead to more severe injury elsewhere in the body as the rest of the leg compensates. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is dealing with a similar injury as well.

How long Porzingis is sidelined depends on the nature of the strain and how conservative the team is willing to be. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Porzingis is expected to miss at least a few games. Boston will look to close out their series against the Heat at home on Wednesday before facing either the Orlando Magic or the Cleveland Cavaliers in the next round of the postseason.

PHOTOS: Boston vs. Miami – Celtics cruise past Heat with 104-84 Game 3 win

Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 3 of their first round series vs. the Heat.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 104-84 in Game 3 of the first round of the 2024 NBA playoffs, taking a 2-1 series lead in the process. It was a great rebound from an ugly tilt a few nights before, which saw the Celtics lay an egg at home.

The Celtics’ offense was smooth and steady, save a slow first quarter. This was aided by a strong defensive showing, which led to 12 turnovers and helped Boston push the pace. By taking a more aggressive approach, the Celtics controlled the rhythm of the game. A small push from Miami in the fourth quarter closed the margin, but Boston was the better team in this one.

Let’s take a look at some of the best moments captured in images in the Celtics’ Game 3 of their first round series vs. the Heat.
