After having just earned a commitment from athlete Zach Lutmer out of Central Lyon High School in Rock Rapids, Iowa, it appears the Hawkeyes might be close to commitment No. 9 in the 2023 class.
Aidan Hall, a three-star athlete, the nation’s No. 106 athlete and the No. 13 player from Iowa according to 247Sports, has been projected to land with the Hawkeyes by a trio of recruiting experts.
After the 6-foot-1, 200 pound in-state product from Harlan Community High School announced that his ninth offer came in from Iowa, 247Sports’ Sean Bock of HawkeyeInsider and Allen Trieu both submitted crystal ball predictions for Hall to commit to Iowa. HawkeyeReport’s Blair Sanderson of Rivals also put in a FutureCast for Hall to pick the Hawkeyes.
Hall has also been offered by Army, Georgia State, Illinois State, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois. He’s also drawn interest from Iowa State, North Dakota State and Wisconsin.
According to HawkeyeNation‘s Rob Howe, Hall carried 94 times for 777 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns, caught 32 passes for 755 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns last season offensively. He also totaled 29.5 tackles and three interceptions with Harlan Community High School in 2021.
Hall told Howe that the offer held special significance because it came from the Hawkeyes. He also thinks it could help jumpstart his recruitment.
“It means a lot because I grew up being a fan of Iowa and going to their games often. This (Iowa) offer will likely help my recruiting a lot. I’m sure other schools will be reaching out here shortly,” Hall said to HawkeyeNation.
