[autotag]Trey Holly[/autotag] played in his third state championship in a row for the Union Parish Farmers, and for the third year in a row, the Farmers came up short.
Union fell to the Many Tigers 35-13 in the Division III non-select championship game. Holly had a great game as he rushed for over 100 yards (including this 63-yard touchdown in the first quarter to tie the game 7-7.)
Holly committed to playing in LSU back in May and is one of the 23 players in the 2023 recruiting class. As early signing day nears, [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the Tigers coaches hope that he will stand firm on his commitment and come to the Bayou. Coach Kelly and the Tigers are preparing to play against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Citrus Bowl on January 2nd.
The recruiting class currently ranks as No. 7 overall after LSU lost two four-star defensive linemen last week. We will see how it all plays out.
