What are the Chicago Bulls’ biggest decisions for the 2024 NBA offseason?

What about the Bulls’ No. 11 overall pick of the 2024 NBA draft?

What are the Chicago Bulls‘ biggest decisions for the 2024 NBA offseason? The Bulls’ front office certainly has no shortage of things in need of attention on their very lengthy to-do list. And perhaps one could make the case that the first order of business is trading away veteran combo guard Zach LaVine.

But is moving on from the oft-injured UCLA alum really the most important thing that Chicago needs to do before the start of the 2024-25 NBA season? What about the Bulls’ No. 11 overall pick of the 2024 NBA draft? Could they pick a critical player out of a fairly weak draft? Or use it as part of a package to land a star player? And what about the free agency of rising forward Patrick Williams and veteran win DeMar DeRozan?

We could probably think of more if we tried, and the hosts of the “CHGO Bulls” podcast took some time to tell us what they think they are in the clip embedded below.

The best of Coby White with the Chicago Bulls in the NBA’s 2023-24 regular season

There were a handful of bright spots worth looking back on. Among them was Coby White.

Fans of the Chicago Bulls would like to forget about their favorite team’s 2023-24 campaign. Especially after an injury-riddled regular season finally killed the most recent rebuild of the team built around players like injured floor general Lonzo Ball, star combo guard Zach LaVine and veteran big man Nikola Vucevic.

But despite the season-derailing injuries to LaVine and Ball (and later on in the season, forward Patrick Williams as well), there were a handful of bright spots worth looking back on for fans. Among them was the growth of young players like Onuralp Bitim, Adama Sanogo, and especially that of Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White.

Regarding the best of the player of White in particular, the Bulls’ organization put together a highlight clip of the best of his play from this past regular season.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to see the best of White with Chicago this past season.

Best highlights and moments of the Chicago Bulls’ 2023-24 NBA season

There were some – we swear!

Fans of the Chicago Bulls have plenty of things they can look back on in the Bulls’ 2023-24 regular season campaign with regret. In what was at the outset a potentially promising season for Chicago, all sorts of things went sideways on the injury front, derailing the last vestiges of hope that a team built around star guard Zach LaVine going somewhere for the Bulls.

But even with the season starting with no Lonzo Ball being available yet again, and quickly added LaVine and later starting forward Patrick Williams to the team’s injury report, there were moments worth remembering. From the growth of players like Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White to some pretty impressive plays on the court, there are things worth another look from last season.

And the good folks over at the “Maxamillion 711” YouTube channel put one together for us. Check it out for yourself in the clip embedded below.

Would it make sense for Ron Holland or Matas Buzelis if they fall from where they are projected?

Which prospects in the 2024 NBA draft make the best targets for the Chicago Bulls with their No. 11 overall pick? In what is widely considered to be a relatively weak cohort of prospects this summer, the Bulls will need to look for the right player to help push them back in the direction of contention as they begin a retool of the roster in earnest.

But which specific players ought they target in this year’s draft? Would it make sense for Ron Holland or Matas Buzelis if they fall from where they are projected? Should they be keeping tabs on Kel’el Ware or Zach Edey?

The hosts of the “CHGO Bulls” podcast recently sat down to talk through how they think the Bulls ought to be going about their draft big board ahead of the big event later this offseason.

Should the Chicago Bulls draft for talent or fit at No. 11?

It is the oldest question out there when it comes to the NBA draft.

It is the oldest question out there when it comes to the NBA draft — should you pick for talent or fit in the first round? This is the dilemma in front of the Chicago Bulls for the looming 2024 NBA draft as the Bulls have some decisions to make with their No. 11 pick just revealed by the 2024 draft lottery on Sunday (May 12).

The Bulls need talent on this roster, so there is a good case for the more common approach to first round drafting, But they also have several positions of need to address if they can’t kill two birds with one stone in the draft. And of course, Chicago could always use the pick to trade for a player who is both things to them.

The hosts of the “Locked On Bulls” podcast, Haize and Pat the Designer, offered up their thoughts on the pick and how it should be used on a recent episode. Check it out below!

Bulls select player to represent team at the NBA’s 2024 draft lottery

The Chicago Bulls have big hopes in the 2024 NBA draft as part of their plan to overhaul the team.

The Chicago Bulls have big hopes in the 2024 NBA draft as part of their plan to overhaul the team after three seasons in a row with little in the way of efforts to make the ball club better via trades. It remains to be seen whether the Bulls’ front office will keep the pick or use it in one of those aforementioned deals to build the team up, but regardless of what path they decide on, they have also decided who will represent Chicago at the league’s 2-24 draft lottery.

Per the NBA, that would be Bulls small forward Julian Philips, one of several players representing their teams in the draft lottery.

Other such examples include Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets, Ausar Thompson of the Detroit Pistons, Brandin Podziemski from the Golden State Warriors, Scoot Henderson of the Portland Trail Blazers and Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors.

Whether that will imbue Chicago with any extra luck will be seen at the big even, which will take place on Sunday, May 12 at 3 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Chicago Bulls are hoping for a lot of luck at the NBA’s 2024 draft lottery

Bulls fans and execs both are hoping for some serious luck on the night of the league’s 2024 NBA draft lottery.

It has been a full nine years since the Chicago Bulls have won a postseason series, and their luck has not been so great in the regular season lately as well. Injuries plagued their last few campaigns, with Chicago needing some serious luck to get back on track as a franchise any time soon.

And while some wiser moves from the ball club’s front office would go a long way towards making their own luck, it’s safe to say that Bulls fans and execs both are hoping for some serious luck on the night of the league’s 2024 NBA draft lottery.

The hosts of the “Locked On Bulls” podcast, Haize and Pat the Designer, got into the stat quo in Chicago and looked ahead to the draft on one of the most recent episodes of their podcast.

Can Ayo Dosunmu make a Jimmy Butler-like offensive leap for the Chicago Bulls?

If everything comes together, can we realistically see a Butler-esque step forward from the Illinois alum?

Can backup guard Ayo Dosunmu make a Jimmy Butler-like offensive leap for the Chicago Bulls next season? In the Bulls’ injury-addled 2023-24 campaign, the Chicago guard’s leap forward as a player was one of the team’s few bright spots in an otherwise forgettable season for the Bulls.

Now, the team is reportedly making some major changes in the coming offseason if we can trust the word of the team’s front office (and history tells us that this is no small “if”). Will they help retool the team in a way that elevates Dosunmu’s game next season? And if everything comes together, can we realistically see a Butler-esque step forward from the Illinois alum?

The hosts of the “CHGO Bulls” podcast took a closer look at what such a transformation would entail, and whether it is too much to ask from a young player like Dosunmu.

Bulls historian Sam Smith does not see change for Chicago as very likely

When the Chicago expert weighs in on the Bulls, his words ought to carry some substantial weight.

Very few people know the Chicago Bulls like league analyst and Bulls historian Sam Smith does. So when the Chicago expert weighs in on the Bulls, his words ought to carry some substantial weight.

And unfortunately for fans of the storied ball club, Smith does not believe that we are going to see very much change in the Bulls’ short-term future. Drawing on his considerable knowledge of how this team has operated with regard to team building over the decades, the Bulls Dot Com analyst recently broke down why he thinks change for Chicago is still a ways off in a recent interview with the folks behind the “Bulls Central” YouTube channel.

To hear what Smith has to say about how his knowledge of Bulls history shapes his opinion on what Chicago’s front office is (not) going to do to make the team better, check out the clip embedded below.
