Detroit Lions 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Detroit Lions’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Detroit Lions struggled in 2020, finishing with a 5-11 record and a top-10 pick in the 2021 NFL draft. They are trying to reload and rebuild in 2021. Below, we look at the Detroit Lions 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

Detroit finished with a losing record for the third straight season. After starting 3-3 the Lions won only two of their last 10 games. It led to the firing of head coach Matt Patricia and the hiring of Dan Campbell.

They have a new coaching staff and a new starting quarterback. They aren’t exactly rebuilding but aren’t expected to be very competitive in the NFC or the NFC North.

Lions’ offseason recap

Head coach Matt Patricia was fired during the season and replaced by Darrell Bevell. The Lions hired Campbell this offseason and then traded longtime starting QB Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams for quarterback Jared Goff and draft picks.

In free agency, they added several low-end veterans in RB Jamal Williams, WR Breshad Perriman and LB Alex Anzalone, among others. They traded for DT Michael Brockers and allowed WR Kenny Golladay to sign with the New York Giants.

In the NFL draft, they bolstered the offensive line with OT Penei Sewell with the seventh overall pick. They added a pair of defensive linemen on Day 2 of the draft, staying consistent with Campbell’s tough mentality for the team.

Detroit Lions’ Super Bowl 56 and 2021 NFL futures picks

The Lions are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league in 2021. They might end up being a tough, physical team, but there is almost no chance of them winning their division, the NFC or the Super Bowl.

If you are looking for two bets to make, go with the super chalky -700 (bet $100, win $14.29) that the Lions WILL NOT make the playoffs, even though there is almost no value.

As for their win total, go with UNDER 5 WINS (-110) (bet $100, win $90.91). They will likely be in contention for the No. 1 pick in the draft, which will allow them to draft their eventual replacement for Goff at quarterback.

Tennessee Titans 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Tennessee Titans’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Tennessee Titans are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they won the AFC South but were eliminated from the postseason after just one game. Below, we look at the Tennessee Titans 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

Behind an offense paced by RB Derrick Henry, who led the NFL with 2,027 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns, the Titans won their first division title since 2008.

However, they were knocked out, as 3.5-point home underdogs, by the Baltimore Ravens 20-13 in the AFC Wild Card Round.

The Titans tied the Las Vegas Raiders for the best NFL Over record, finishing 12-3-1 in the regular season. They were 7-9 against the spread.

Titans’ offseason recap

The front office focused on improving a defense, which gave up 398.2 yards per game, ranking 28th in the NFL, and allowed a league-worst 51.9% third-down conversions.

The Titans added OLB Bud Dupree to a 5-year deal as their marquee free-agent signing, along with bringing in DL Denico Autry and CB Janoris Jenkins.

Plus, five of the eight players they selected in the 2021 NFL Draft were on the defensive side, led by Virginia Tech CB Caleb Farley, their No. 1 pick (22nd overall).

They did lose DE Jadeveon Clowney, who signed with the Cleveland Browns, and also lost two of their top three receivers in WR Corey Davis (signed with the New York Jets) and TE Jonnu Smith (New England Patriots).

Tennessee Titans Super Bowl 56 and 2021 NFL futures picks

With Henry and an improved defense, the Titans WINNING THE SUPER BOWL (+4000) is worth a flier, as is an AFC CHAMPIONSHIP (+2200).

Winning the AFC South doesn’t offer much of a payoff at +110, so it’s a PASS. The Indianapolis Colts are favored at +100 and are really the only threat to stopping the Titans from claiming back-to-back division titles. The Jacksonville Jaguars (+1200) and Houston Texans (+2000) are long shots.

Tennessee should hit Over 9 wins (-115), but there are tough home games vs. the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints, and possible road bumps at the Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks. So, I’ll PASS.

As for making the playoffs, the -140 price doesn’t interest me.

Los Angeles Chargers 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Los Angeles Chargers 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Los Angeles Chargers have turned to a new head coach in Brandon Staley after making only one playoff appearance in the last seven seasons. Below, we look at the Los Angeles Chargers’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

Staley has a promising young talent to work in second-year QB Justin Herbert, the 2020 Offensive Rookie of the Year. The rest of the team needs to be better, and healthier, to have and hope of competing for the AFC West title or even an AFC wild-card playoff berth.

Chargers’ offseason recap

Along with the coaching changes, the Bolts also parted ways with a number of familiar faces, including TE Hunter Henry, CB Casey Hayward and LBs Melvin Ingram and Denzel Perryman.

In their place, free-agent TE Jared Cook and LB Kyler Fackrell were added along with an extreme offensive line makeover that includes first-round pick Rashawn Slater at OT and free-agent C Corey Linsley.

The Chargers’ primary hopes, though, are pinned on another step forward for Herbert, who wowed with 36 total touchdowns and only 10 interceptions in 15 starts as a rookie.

L.A. also needs a return to health for Pro Bowl defenders Joey Bosa and Derwin James, the latter of which missed all of last season due to a knee injury.

Los Angeles Chargers Super Bowl 56 and 2021 NFL futures picks

The Chargers improved by two wins a year ago, going from a 5-11 record in 2019 to 7-9 last year. A matching gain in 2021 — despite a tough schedule — would put them at their posted win total. Adding the 17th game, makes the OVER 9 (-105) wins seem very doable, with minimal juice to pay.

If the Bolts do get to 10 wins, the playoffs should be in play as well in the second year of the expanded postseason field (seven teams in each conference). The nice +150 payoff adds even more allure to the YES wager.

Winning the AFC or the Super Bowl, though, seems far too much to ask for a first-year head coach, a second-year QB and a defense with a number of question marks.

Los Angeles Rams 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Los Angeles Rams’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Los Angeles Rams were carried to the NFC Divisional Round last season by their No. 1-ranked defense before getting bounced by QB Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With QB Matthew Stafford now leading the charge, the Rams hope to take a step forward on offense in 2021. Below, we look at the Los Angeles Rams 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Rams finished 10-6 last season and earned a wild-card berth in the NFC Playoffs. They beat the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round but Rodgers and the Packers knocked off the Rams at Lambeau Field in the second round. No team had a better defense than Los Angeles in 2020, as the Rams ranked first in points allowed, yards allowed, passing defense and first downs allowed.

Heading into 2021, the Rams will have a new look. Stafford was acquired in a trade for Jared Goff and three draft picks. He joins L.A. after 12 years with the Detroit Lions.

The NFC West looks even tougher than it did last season, so it could be a difficult path to the playoffs for the Rams in 2021. Head coach Sean McVay has never finished worse than 9-7, so he’ll have them prepared.

Rams’ offseason recap

The first and biggest splash of the offseason came when the Rams traded Goff and three picks for Stafford. It was the result of McVay’s growing frustration with the team’s stagnant offense under Goff, causing him to bring in a proven veteran who can push the ball downfield.

The Rams’ only other notable addition was the signing of WR DeSean Jackson to give the team a true deep threat at wideout. They suffered a bunch of tough losses. CB Troy Hill, S John Johnson, C Austin Blythe and TE Gerald Everett all left in free agency, while DE Michael Brockers was traded to the Lions.

Raheem Morris is taking over as the defensive coordinator after Brandon Staley was hired as the Los Angeles Chargers’ new head coach.

Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

Only the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have better Super Bowl odds than the Rams. Los Angeles is tied with the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills for third. There’s no denying the Rams’ potential, but they’ll have to go through teams like the Bucs, San Francisco 49ers, Packers, Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys in the NFC to reach the Super Bowl.

Still, I like a small wager on the Rams to win the Super Bowl at +1200, which carries plenty of value and reward. Their defense has been tested after finishing first in the NFL last season, while the offense is now led by an aggressive quarterback with a dynamic group of receivers.

I also would consider a bet on the Rams to win OVER 10 games (-130). With 17 games on the docket, they could easily go 11-6 thanks to favorable games against the Houston Texans, New York Giants, Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dallas Cowboys 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Dallas Cowboys 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

With QB Dak Prescott set to return after missing most of the 2020 season, the Dallas Cowboys are poised to bounce back from what was a difficult campaign. They finished 6-10 and third in the NFC East after a 2-7 start. Below, we look at the Dallas Cowboys 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Cowboys’ 2020 season got off to a rough start even before Prescott broke his ankle in Week 5. They lost three of their first four games and allowed a total of 180 points in the first five weeks. They finished the year 28th in points allowed and 23rd in total yards surrendered. The offense barely stayed afloat without its quarterback.

Heading into 2021, Dallas once again has hope thanks to Prescott. Fresh off a massive contract extension, he has long-term security in Dallas. He’ll also have RB Ezekiel Elliott behind him in the backfield, as well as WRs Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup as his wideouts.

Cowboys’ offseason recap

The biggest move Dallas made this offseason was re-signing Prescott to a four-year, $160 million contract. They also signed S Keanu Neal, who’s moving to linebacker, added LB Micah Parsons with their first-round draft pick, and gave new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn a familiar face in the secondary by bringing in FS Damontae Kazee.

The offense remains mostly unchanged with Prescott, Elliott and the trio of wide receivers leading the charge under second-year head coach Mike McCarthy. If healthy, the Cowboys should have one of the best offenses in the league.

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

The Cowboys look like legitimate Super Bowl contenders on paper, but I’m not ready to bet on them to win it all next season. There are still far too many question marks on defense, even if the offense will be the one to carry the team.

I would feel good about putting a small wager on Dallas to win the NFC EAST at +100. The Washington Football Team won the division last season, but there hasn’t been a repeat winner since the Philadelphia Eagles won it four straight years from 2001-2004. Dallas has a great chance in 2021.

I also like the Cowboys’ win total to go OVER 9 games (-140) in the first 17-game regular season. Essentially, you’re betting that they’ll go at least 3 games above .500. It’s very possible considering they’ll play a third-place schedule against teams like the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos, on top of the divisional games.

Analyzing the Denver Broncos 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Denver Broncos went an AFC West-worst 5-11 in 2020 and are trying to snap out of the franchise’s longest run of losing seasons since the early 1970s. The Broncos also haven’t played in the postseason since winning Super Bowl 50 to culminate the 2015 campaign. Broncos’ offseason recap

Under the guidance of new general manager George Paton, Denver has added some needed and intriguing pieces in free-agent CBs Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby, and draft picks CB Patrick Surtain II and RB Javonte Williams.

The Broncos, beset by injuries a season ago, also are counting on All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller and Pro Bowl WR Courtland Sutton to return to form after both missed most or all of the 2020 season.

The team’s most pressing question — finding an answer at quarterback — remains a glaring question mark. Veteran QB Teddy Bridgewater was brought in to challenge third-year QB Drew Lock, who completed a league-low 57.3% of his passes and tied for the league lead with 15 interceptions a season ago.

The Aaron Rogers-to-Denver rumors, which caught fire on the opening day of the 2021 NFL Draft and knocked the Broncos’ win total and playoff odds off the board, still have the possibility of becoming reality.

Denver had also expressed interest in trading for Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson. Landing either QB later this offseason would, of course, alter the entire outlook in the Mile High City.

Denver Broncos Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

The Broncos’ Big Game, AFC and division title odds already have seen a bump with the Rodgers rumors, but those futures still offer great value and potential return for those willing to play the QB speculation game.

Otherwise, it’s a pass on all three as the Lock/Bridgewater Broncos should be improved but not enough to seriously challenge Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs and the rest of the AFC’s elite.

Cincinnati Bengals 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Cincinnati Bengals 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Cincinnati Bengals have nowhere to go but up after winning a combined six games over the last two seasons. Franchise QB Joe Burrow is expected back strong after missing the final six games of his 2020 rookie season due to ACL and MCL tears in his left knee. Below, we look at the Cincinnati Bengals’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

Cincinnati is coming off a 4-11-1 season and third straight fourth-place finish in the AFC North. The division is once again expected to be tightly contested in 2021, but the Bengals seems to be on the right trajectory behind Burrow, RB Joe Mixon and 2021 first-round pick WR Ja’Marr Chase.

Bengals’ offseason recap

Cincy will have a new look this season with long-time familiar faces WR A.J. Green, DT Geno Atkins and RB Giovani Bernard parting ways with the franchise in the offseason.

The Bengals, though, are gaining plenty in return with the selection of the draft’s top-rated wide receiver and Burrow’s LSU teammate Chase, more protection for Burrow in free agent OT Reilly Reiff and second-round G Jackson Carman, free-agent DB additions Ricardo Allen, Eli Apple, Chidobe Awuzie and Mike Hilton.

A full return to health for Mixon also would be a big boost for an offense that ranked 29th in scoring (19.4 points per game) and total yards (319.8 per outing) a season ago.

Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

Only the Houston Texans (4.5), Detroit Lions (5) and New York Jets (6) have opened with lower posted win totals than the Bengals’ 6.5, but avoid the temptation of automatically pounding the Over.

Cincy’s schedule is daunting for a fourth-place team given the rugged AFC North, out-of-division contests against the AFC West and NFC North and a 17th game against the should-be much-improved (and healthier) San Francisco 49ers.

On the flip side, those looking for reasonable risks on long-shot odds can certainly consider sprinkling a little on the Bengals winning the division (+2500) and/or making the playoffs (+400) with the handsome potential returns.

Ravens’ offseason recap

Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP, has received some needed wide receiver help in free agent Sammy Watkins and first-round pick Rashod Bateman. Baltimore, though, will need to replace Pro Bowl left tackle Orlando Brown, who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Other than replacing Pro Bowl sack and tackles-for-loss leader Matt Judon, the defense returns largely intact after surrendering the league’s second-fewest points per game (18.9) in 2020.

Edge rusher Odafe Oweh, acquired with a first-round round pick received in the Brown trade, will attempt to step in for Judon.

Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

The Ravens won the AFC North in 2018 and ’19 and finished second last year, so the +115 odds for the division title are certainly enticing, especially considering the defending AFC North champion Pittsburgh Steelers appear to have slipped following a 12-4 finish in 2020.

At -400, Baltimore is heavily favored to make the playoffs for a fourth straight season, but only those with large bankrolls are advised to pay that much juice.

At +600 and +1400, respectively, the Ravens’ AFC and Super Bowl odds make for decent returns if you’re looking beyond the top few favorites for value.

Definitely don’t go overboard here as Jackson and Co., must first prove their winning formula can work in the postseason, especially with top AFC rivals Kansas City, Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns all looking particularly formidable again in 2021.

Arizona Cardinals 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Arizona Cardinals 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Arizona Cardinals missed the playoffs last season but saw the development of QB Kyler Murray, who made the Pro Bowl in his second season. With Murray at the helm again, the Cardinals hope to not only make the postseason in 2021 but also be a Super Bowl contender. Below, we look at the Arizona Cardinals 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Cardinals went from three wins in 2018 to five in 2019 and finished 8-8 last season after beginning the year 5-2. They were one win from making the playoffs in Murray’s second season.

They have been aggressive this offseason in adding veteran talent and promising rookies who can contribute immediately with their first two draft picks. Between the continued improvement from Murray and their new additions, they are all in trying to get to the Super Bowl before Murray’s rookie deal runs out.

Cardinals’ offseason recap

The Cardinals are reloading and trying to put themselves in position to win before they have to pay Murray like one of the top quarterbacks in the league. They added talented veteran leaders at key positions, signing DE J.J. Watt, CB Malcolm Butler, WR A.J. Green, PK Matt Prater and RB James Conner in free agency. They re-signed their depth players and acquired three-time Pro Bowl C Rodney Hudson via trade.

They lost pass rusher Haason Reddick and CB Patrick Peterson.

In the draft, they selected LB Zaven Collins and WR Rondale Moore, both of whom should contribute as rookies. They added two cornerbacks as well in the fourth and sixth rounds.

Arizona Cardinals Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

The Cardinals are an interesting team in terms of betting. They have the longest odds to win the NFC West, but the division is considered the best in the NFL. They are ranked in the middle of the league in terms of odds to win it all.

If Murray continues on the track he is on, with an improved offensive line and improved receiving corps, the offense could be one of the most exciting in the league. With a healthier and improved defensive line, the defense should be able to match what it did in the first half of last season.

In all, because of their value, they make a surprisingly good bet for the Super Bowl. If you pick between the division, conference and Super Bowl, the worst bet is probably the division. Making the playoffs as a wild card seems inevitable; however, a bet on the CARDINALS +1200 to win the NFC makes for a nice value pick. A $100 bet will win $1,200.

If there is one bet you should make, it would be to hit OVER 8 WINS (-110). They went 8-8 last year and have an improved roster. 10-11 wins is what they should get in 2021.

Carolina Panthers 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Carolina Panthers’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Carolina Panthers struggled to adjust to life after Cam Newton and head coach Ron Rivera in 2020, and it didn’t help that they were forced to play without one of the most dynamic players in the NFL for a majority of the season with RB Christian McCaffrey hurt. There just wasn’t much to smile about in 2020, but things are looking up heading into the new campaign. Below, we look at the Carolina Panthers 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Panthers posted a 5-11 record last season, finishing in third place in the NFC South Division one game ahead of the equally disappointing Atlanta Falcons.

It was a mediocre season for QB Teddy Bridgewater, so the team elected to go another way by taking a chance on former No. 3 overall pick QB Sam Darnold. It’s a potential low-risk, high-reward move for the organization.

Panthers’ offseason recap

The Panthers made big news when they picked up Darnold from the Jets in a trade, and he will head up the offense, reuniting with WR Robby Anderson. After landing the former first-round pick, the Panthers jettisoned Bridgewater in a trade to the Denver Broncos.

In addition to slapping the franchise tag on OT Taylor Moton, the Panthers grabbed OL Pat Elflein to bolster the offensive line and keep Darnold upright. LBs Denzel Perryman and Haason Reddick were a couple of underrated moves for the defense, while WR David Moore joins a deep receiver corps.

The Panthers used the No. 8 overall pick to pick up shutdown CB Jaycee Horn from South Carolina, the son of former NFL WR Joe Horn. WR Terrace Marshall Jr., who ran a 4.38 unofficial 40-yard dash time at his LSU Pro Day, gives Marshall another weapon on the outside. And don’t sleep on Oklahoma State RB Chuba Hubbard, who gives the team depth behind McCaffrey.

Carolina Panthers Super Bowl 56 and 2022 NFL futures picks

The Panthers head into the new season with a lot of new faces that could potentially help the team challenge for a playoff spot. But it depends on if Darnold can resurrect his career. It’s a good time for Carolina to make a move, though, as Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan is long in the tooth, and the New Orleans Saints are breaking in a new starter after QB Drew Brees  retired. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won it all last season, but QB Tom Brady is 45 years old.

As such, a small-unit wager on the Panthers +700 to win the NFC South is not a bad value. YES +200: Will the Panthers make the playoffs? is also worth a play, while OVER 7.5 wins is another attractive wager.
