The Big Ten regular season is officially complete. It came to an end with Penn State’s comeback win over Maryland on Sunday night, so we now know where all fourteen teams will be seeded. We already knew Ohio State was locked in as the No. 5 seed after its loss to Illinois on Saturday, but now we have a complete picture of the road that it must travel if it has designs of finding its winning form from a couple of weeks ago.
Michigan (1), Illinois (2), Iowa (3), and Purdue (4) all get double-byes as the top four seeds in the league. All four of those teams won’t have to play until Friday. However, Penn State (11), Northwestern (12), Minnesota (13), and Nebraska (14) are on the opposite end of the spectrum and will get things started on Wednesday. All other teams — including the Buckeyes — will begin play in the tournament on Thursday.
Here is a complete look at the finalized bracket.
The Illini will face off against the winner of Rutgers/Indiana this Friday at 5:30 PM CT on BTN.
