This one should spark some healthy debate. FOX College Hoops released their National Title odds for the 2021 Men’s College Basketball season this week, and Michigan State ranked in the top ten, tied for No. 9 with Kansas and Wisconsin at +1800.
Now, I think that depending on your perspective, this will either make you happy or make you extremely upset. I am on the latter side of it as I think it’s a little absurd to put Iowa or Creighton ahead of Michigan State this year.
With Luka Garza returning to Iowa and Michigan State losing Xavier Tillman and Cassius Winston, I understand why the odds are placed at that level, but I think given how hot the Spartans ended last season on a run that ended in a co-Big Ten Championship they should garner more respect here.
Of course, the odds are set based on how people will bet and not necessarily a strict season prediction, but that’s just my two cents.
Here are the full odds:
Thanks to the return of Luka Garza, Iowa now has the 7th-best odds to win it all in 2021 📈 pic.twitter.com/MyJZd56bOt
