Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart entered the fourth quarter of Game 2 with just three points as his team trailed the Toronto Raptors, 78-70. Smart and the Celtics had been outplayed for much of the contest and were on the verge of the Raptors evening the series at one game apiece.

Instead, Smart erupted for 16 points in the final period after draining five straight 3-pointers to lead the Celtics to the 102-99 win and a 2-0 series lead over the Raptors. The Celtics outscored the Raptors 32-21 in the quarter as Smart accounted for half of his team’s points.

Smart was simply unconscious from 3-point range.

The performance by Smart marked his second straight in the series making at least five 3-pointers after he connected on just two treys in the entire first round against the Philadelphia 76ers. He is averaging 20 points and shooting 55% (11-of-20) from beyond the arc against the Raptors.

Boston remained undefeated in the playoffs with the win and has played at a high level, even without Gordon Hayward. Celtics players took to Twitter afterward to express their joy with the win, including Tacko Fall and Enes Kanter.

Game 3 is scheduled to tip-off Thursday at 6:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
