Leading a program to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances has its perks.

According to a report from USA Today’s Steve Berkowitz, Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman has earned extra cash due to the current success of his team. He could also earn additional bonuses if his squad keeps winning.

In the report, Berkowitz says that Musselman has received $250,000 in bonuses so far, and will see a $100,000 increase in pay beginning next season. Musselman also received a five-year extension to his contract a year ago, which is worth $4.1 million dollars.

If the Razorbacks were to make the Final Four this season, Musselman’s pockets will grow $100,000 richer.

Musselman is currently in his third season as the head coach of the Razorbacks. During his time at Arkansas, his teams have won at least 20 games, including a tenure-best 27 games this season. The 2021-22 season saw many feats, including a 13-5 finish in conference play despite starting 0-3 against SEC foes, defeating two top-five teams inside Bud Walton Arena, and having a winning streak of nine games.
