[autotag]Stewart-Haas Racing[/autotag] has been at the center of NASCAR silly season and it has not died down at all. After the news of Kevin Harvick’s retirement, the team hired Josh Berry to drive the No. 4 Cup car in 2024. However, Aric Almirola’s upcoming retirement decision has caused several names to be linked to the No. 10 Cup car and the latest is the most shocking yet.
According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, former Legacy Motor Club driver Noah Gragson is a candidate for Stewart-Haas Racing’s possible open No. 10 Cup car for 2024. Gragson was suspended after liking an offensive post on social media in August and has been reinstated. The 25-year-old driver has talked to several teams over the last month, according to Pockrass.
Overall, this would be a surprising, yet good pickup for Stewart-Haas Racing. Gragson was disappointing in his first full-time season in the NASCAR Cup Series but has run very well with JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Gragson is a Cup Series-level driver and Stewart-Haas Racing could help rebuild his career in the sport following his suspension.
