The Eagles have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Steven Nelson, finally adding a talented veteran to the roster to pair with Darius Slay.
Nelson, who is starting his seventh NFL season, will make $4 million according to Jeremy Fowler, essentially winning the bet on himself.
It had previously been reported that the Eagles and a handful of other teams were unsure about meeting Nelson’s contract demands. Nelson has started 46 games the last three years for the Steelers and he’ll immediately upgrade a battered secondary.
