Former Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is no longer with the Crimson Tide program and is currently the head coach at Texas. However, before his departure, he spoke with teams before the NFL draft about his former players at Alabama.
James Palmer claimed on Good Morning Football that Sarkisian told NFL teams that Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is the only player “he would ever put in the category of ‘Reggie Bush.'”
Bush, a former running back at USC, was the recipient of the 2005 Heisman trophy and has often been touted as one of the greatest players to ever play college football.
The full clip details what Jaylen Waddle must do in order to not just be another speedy receiver.
Palmer suggests that he watches Tyreek Hill film, as he is one of the fastest players in the league, but offers other valuable skills which separate him from the rest of his positional group.
"He knows he's probably the fastest guy in the NFL, but the other aspects of his game are the parts that make him an effective NFL player and not just a fast WR."@JamesPalmerTV thinks @D1__JW should be studying @cheetah's film. pic.twitter.com/beG7mVpwXH
