Steve Kerr believes he is at fault for the Golden State Warriors‘ loss to the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday (Nov. 28.)
During a recent interview on the “Willard and Dibs Show,” Kerr claimed he “didn’t have his best game” and made some questionable calls regarding the team’s rotation. Most notably, the Warriors head coach believes pulling Moses Moody was a turning point and potentially his worst decision of the night.
The loss against the Kings ensured the Warriors failed to qualify for the knockout stage of the in-season tournament. It also compounded a difficult November for the franchise, which has struggled for wins and endured a six-game losing streak.
“I should have left Moses in the game,” Kerr said. “Moses hits three threes, and he’s rolling. We kind of over-thought it. We wanted to get our best defensive group on the floor. But Moses was really good defensively. Watching the tape over again, that was really a terrible decision. I should have left him out there, at least for a couple more minutes. I regret that one. I regret the challenge.”
The Warriors look to end November on a high note when they face the LA Clippers on Thursday (Nov. 30.) Golden State will have its core trio of Klay Thompson, Steph Curry and Draymond Green available for the contest, which has been a rarity over the opening months of the season.

It will be interesting to see how many minutes Moody plays against the Clippers and whether Kerr attempts to over correct his previous bad decision, or whether he sticks with a veteran rotation in an attempt to get the team back on track.
