Stephen Curry on Thursday expressed his opinion on the Golden State Warriors potentially adding two lottery picks this year and the two-time NBA MVP might be OK with it.

Of course, the Warriors hold pick Nos. 7 and 14 this year after acquiring an additional selection from the Minnesota Timberwolves. It will mark the second consecutive draft the organization has at least one lottery pick after taking James Wiseman last year.

Curry, who spoke at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, said the Warriors could add some good players with both picks.

At 7 and 14, there’s probably going to be some legit talent there that, if it’s the best player and right fit, of course, they could make an impact and be ready right away to play some significant minutes and hopefully get better throughout the season and be ready for a potential playoff run.

While the Warriors can potentially add two draft picks to the roster, they are expected to shop at least the seventh pick in order to acquire veteran players that can help them win now. The team is reportedly open to including Wiseman along with the seventh pick in trade talks.

Curry added that the Warriors haven’t really worked out any of the top prospects yet, but he knows things can change rather quickly before now and the draft on July 29.

You got a lot of talented guys and you don’t know how (picks) 1-6 goes and how things change really quickly. I always love to give my input and be a part of that process but as it stands right now, I don’t even think we’ve had any guys within that top 14 come to the Bay and workout yet.

Curry said that he has been in touch with Warriors president Bob Myers and head coach Steve Kerr and acknowledged that everything is on the table in terms of improving the roster. The team is also expected to get Klay Thompson back at some point from Achilles surgery.

With two lottery picks in tow, the Warriors figure to be aggressive in trying to improve the roster and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them move one or both of those assets. The night of the draft is always filled with twists and turns, and this year should be no different.
