Steph Curry stats, highlights: Warriors point guard drops 27 points in 119-107 win vs. Kings

Steph Curry continued his hot start to the 2021-22 season with a 27 point performance in a win over the Kings on Sunday. Here is a look at the stats and highlights.

After a slow shooting night in the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers, Steph Curry quickly bounced back with a 45 point explosion against the Los Angeles Clippers in game two on the 2021-22 season.

On Sunday against the Sacramento Kings, Curry continued his impressive play with another solid effort. On the way to leading the Warriors to a 119-107 win in California’s capital, the two-time Most Valuable Player recorded a game-high 27 points on 9-of-23 shooting from the floor.

Curry added 10 assists to notch his third consecutive game with a double-double. The seven-time All-Star tacked on seven rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes against the Kings.

During Sunday’s tilt, Curry shook up the record books by becoming the first player in Golden State’s franchise history to tally 5,000 career assists. Curry is the 69th player in NBA history to surpass the 5,000 assist mark. The 33-year-old finished the contest with 5,005 assists.

With three games in the books, Curry is averaging 31 points on 43.5% shooting from the field with nine rebounds, seven assists and 2.3 steals to open the season.
