Steph Curry shares tribute to Kobe Bryant on Instagram on one-year anniversary of his passing

On the one-year anniversary of his tragic death, Warriors point guard Steph Curry shared a tribute to the late NBA icon Kobe Bryant on Instagram.

Tuesday, January 26 marks the one-year anniversary of the devastating helicopter accident in Southern California that claimed the lives of nine people, including Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna.

One year after Bryant’s tragic death, players around the NBA are remembering the five-time NBA champion. Steph Curry shared a tribute post on Instagram. The post included a photo of Curry and Bryant embracing each other at the 2016 All-Star Game. Both Curry and Bryant were named Western Conference starters to the 2016 All-Star Game in Toronto.

In the caption, Curry said he was thinking of Bryant and Gigi. The Golden State Warriors point guard offered blessings to all the families involved in the crash.

Last year, Curry was one of the members of the Warriors to attend Bryant’s memorial at Staples Center. During Golden State’s first matchup with the Lakers at Chase Center since his passing, Curry wore a Bryant No. 24 jersey on the sidelines for the contest.

Curry will have the opportunity to honor Bryant on the court on Thursday at Chase Center against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
