Steph Curry congratulates Carmelo Anthony on his career after retirement announcement

After Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement, Steph Curry took to social media to congratulate the future NBA Hall of Famer.

One of the legends of the modern basketball era has officially laced up on the NBA hardwood for the final time. On Sunday, legendary scorer Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement from the NBA after 19 impactful seasons.

Many players from around the chimed in on Twitter or Instagram to congratulate Anthony on his retirement, including a member of the Golden State Warriors.

Along with a picture of himself alongside Anthony during a Warriors game against the New York Knicks, Stephen Curry shared a message for the future Hall of Famer on Instagram.

Anthony tallied over 30 points against the Warriors eight different times in his career, including a 39-point performance with the Nuggets at Oracle Arena in 2010.

The former Syracuse product finished his career averaging 22.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 44 games against the Warriors in his 19-year- campaign.

While a player with the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angles Lakers, Anthony earned 10 appearances in the All-Star game and six All-NBA team honors. During the 2012-13 season with the Nuggets, Anthony won the league’s scoring title, averaging 28.7 points per game. Anthony was included as a member of the NBA’s 75th-anniversary team.
