Stefon Diggs channeled Stone Cold Steve Austin with a beer-smashing TD celebration

Smashing across the goal line. Smashing beers.

Stefon Diggs has scored 33 touchdowns as a Buffalo Bill. But for the vast majority of those, the Bills Mafia’s beers have been safe.

Not in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

After hauling in an 11-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen, Diggs gathered his teammates and headed to the stands behind the end zone. There, waiting for him, were six suspiciously perched beers, clocking in at a reasonable (for the NFL) $8.80 per. The All-Pro wideout grabbed $17.60 worth of lager (two 16 ounce aluminum bottles), took a step back, then channeled one of the most famous pro wrestlers to ever stomp mudholes across the squared circle.

That’s right, Diggs paid homage to WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with his signature beer smashing celebration. And while he stopped short of copying Austin’s penchant for taking a long draw of those brews, the inspiration was clear.

Here’s another look from the field angle.
