After the Bills sent a first-round pick out for wide receiverr Stefon Diggs, at the time, they didn’t realize they’d be getting a first back.
The team’s first ever All-Pro wide receiver.
On Friday, the NFL announced their first and second team All-Pro selections. Diggs, who was recently named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career as well, was Buffalo’s lone first-team, All-Pro selection for the 2020 season. Buffalo’s also never had a wideout named a first-teamer, specifically.
Diggs is the first player in general to earn distinction since cornerback Tre’Davious White did so in 2019.
Speaking of White, he was one of four second-team All-Pro selections for the Bills (13-3) this year as well. The others were: QB Josh Allen, WR Cole Beasley and WR Andre Roberts for his kick returning.
En route to Diggs’ honors, he was the Bills’ first player in team history to lead the NFL in catches (127) and yards (1,535). Diggs ended 2020 with eight touchdown catches as well.
