The Buffalo Bills and Stefon Diggs could be well on their way to figuring out whatever is between them, according to his representatives.
Still, we’re left with a weird landscape to navigate.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Diggs’ agent, Adisa Bakari, said in a statement that he was confused by comments made by Bills head coach Sean McDermott.
At the start of his opening press conference at minicamp, McDermott said he was “very concerned” about Diggs not being present. Bakari was not a huge fan of that.
Via NFL Network:
Diggs’ agent, Adisa Bakari later said in a statement that he did not “know why [McDermott] said what he said today.”
But there is positive update from the agent. Bakari told NFL Network that there is progress being made and he confirmed the Bills’ statement that Diggs was at the team’s facilities and then left prior to the start of Tuesday’s practice:
“There are things being worked out — on the way to being worked out,” Bakari said, per NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. “Stefon has been there Sunday night. He was in the building this morning.”
Diggs, 29, had made cryptic comments throughout the offseason on social media and during interviews. It was still anticipated that he would be in attendance once mandatory offseason workouts arrived even after skipping out on voluntary OTAs.
The issue between the Bills and Diggs is specifically unknown. However, the comments made by the player’s agent indicates the two sides are at some sort of a difference currently… one that could still be mended.
In 2022, Diggs was named an All-Pro for the second time in his Bills career.
