Buffalo Bills will be getting a dose of Russell Wilson in the second week of the NFL’s preseason.
Right away, that is.
Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin announced that the veteran QB will get the start against Buffalo on Saturday.
Wilson was sidelined for the first game of the preseason with a calf injury, with Justin Fields getting the nod in Pittsburgh’s preseason opener against the Houston Texans. He was 5-of-6 for 67 yards but lost two fumbles after poor center-to-quarterback exchanges.
The QBs are battling it out to start for the Steelers in 2024.
Wilson is expected to have the edge, but Fields will still get his shot to face the Bills when he eventually replaces Wilson against the Bills.
