#Steelers Thanksgiving practice report –
DNP: JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), Ramon Foster (coach’s decision)
LIM: James Conner (shoulder), Artie Burns (knee)
FULL: Al Villanueva (shoulder)— Missi Matthews (@missi_matthews) November 28, 2019
The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t take Thanksgiving off as they prepare to take on the Cleveland Browns this weekend. The practice report is out and it’s something of a mixed bad.
The Steelers did see a partial return to practice by running back James Conner and Artie Burns. We don’t know the status of Burns after missing so much time but it would be good to have him back in the fold. But I couldn’t read too much into Conner back at practice. This shoulder problem has been lingering and with Conner’s style of play, re-injury is too risky right now.
Finally we have offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva. He was a full participant on Thursday as he also deals with a shoulder injury
But there’s still plenty of bad news. Despite being removed from the NFL concussion protocol on Wednesday, Smith-Schuster still did not practice due to his knee injury. If Smith-Schuster can’t go, look for James Washington to see a heavy workload.
