Steelers’ T.J. Watt, others around the NFL wish Ronnie Stanley well after season-ending injury

Baltimore Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley’s injury ends his season and drew a lot of love from current and former players around the NFL.

The game of football can really suck sometimes. Despite doing everything the right way and being an outstanding human being, Baltimore Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley suffered a season-ending ankle injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Though Stanley was in relatively high spirits as he was carted off the field and afterward on Twitter, no one is happy to see his season end prematurely. Fans of all teams came together following the news of Stanley’s injuries, as well as several players.

Stanley’s teammates quickly took to Twitter to help console him and wish him a speedy recovery.

Several former Ravens got in on the love as well.

With Stanley’s character and outstanding play putting him at the top of the game, a bunch of current and former players from around the league also responded to Stanley’s original post.

That includes Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt, who was the guy that accidentally rolled up on Stanley, causing the injury in the first place.

Say what you want about this rivalry and what it means to the team, the players, and the fans; but no one wants to see a player get injured as evidenced by Pittsburgh players’ actions on the field with Stanley on the cart and Watt’s message. Stanley’s injury makes the game worse for everyone and that’s reflected in the number of people who came to type words of encouragement here and undoubtedly the number of players blowing up Stanley’s phone in the coming days.

We’ll echo the love shown here and wish Stanley a quick and full recovery.
