Steelers sign WR Miles Boykin to one-year contract

The Steelers re-signed a top special teamer on Monday.

On Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced they had re-signed wide receiver Miles Boykin to a one-year contract. Boykin had been a free agent.

Getting Boykin back gives the Steelers a nice bump on special teams. He’s never been an impact player on offense but his addition should round out the wide receiver depth chart.

Boykin joins Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, Allen Robinson and Calvin Austin III.

Re-signing Boykin, along with the trade for Robinson likely means the need to draft a wide receiver falls on the Steelers list of major draft needs. Pittsburgh still has a significant number of free agents who remain unsigned.
