The Pittsburgh Steelers announced their initial 53-man roster but continue to make moves on Wednesday. The team announced they were placing offensive tackle Zach banner, running back Anthony McFarland Jr. and defensive end Stephon Tuitt on IR.

To replace the three of them on the 53-man roster, the Steelers have signed back safety Arthur Maulet, guard Rashaad Coward and guard B.J. Finney back to the 53-man roster to replace them.

This is another example of the Steelers front office making moves behind the scenes Coward, Maulet and Finney weren’t subject to waivers so they could just wait a day, knowing the team was going to bring them back.

Banner, McFarland and Tuitt are all eligible to return for the team’s fourth game on the road against the Green Bay Packers.
