Steelers score top DL duo in NFL according to PFF

No matter how much the Pittsburgh Steelers offense struggles, the defense, more often than not, is there to pick it up. A huge reason the Steelers defense remains so competitive year after year is defensive linebacker Cam Heyward and EDGE T.J. Watt.

Pro Football Focus ranked Heyward as the No. 3 defensive lineman in the league and Watt the No. 2 edge rusher. This makes them the top defensive line tandem in the league.

Watt finished the 2020 season with 53 tackles and 15 sacks and was easily one of the best all-around defenders in the NFL. Heyward’s stats were somewhat more modest with only four sacks to go with 54 tackles but his ability to play the run and force plays to his teammates is what really makes him special
