Midway through the third quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett took a big hit from Tampa linebacker Devin White. The hit was enough to force Pickett out of the game and he headed to the locker room. Pickett was replaced in the lineup by former Steelers starter Mitch Trubisky.

Pickett had struggled after the first scoring drive of the game. On the day, Pickett only has 67 passing yards on 11-for-18 passing and has been sacked once. Pickett did get his first passing touchdown of the season on that opening drive and added 16 yards on the ground.

We will keep you updated on Pickett’s status as information becomes available.

UPDATE: Pickett is being evaluated for a concussion and his return is questionable.
