Steelers LB T.J. Watt says George Pickens doesn’t know how good he is

T.J. Watt was impress with George Pickens’ rookie season.

In 2022, the Pittsburgh Steelers handed over a ton of the offense to a pair of rookies. Quarterback Kenny Pickett took over a month into the season and by the second half of the year, and wide receiver George Pickens was great from the very beginning.

Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt spoke to NFL writer Peter King about the rookie tandem and noted that he doesn’t think Pickens gets just how great he can be.

“George Pickett is one of those guys like I don’t think he really understands how good he is,” Watt said. “Some of the things you see in practice but it’s also on top of the little things like finishing plays. Running. He can run for days.”

Pickens finished his rookie season with 52 catches for 801 yards and four receiving touchdowns. Pickens has the highest catch rate of any receiver in the NFL last season and his 15.4 yards per catch was fourth-best in the NFL for receivers with 50 or more receptions.
