Is running back the Steelers top priority for next season?

The Pittsburgh Steelers have one season to sort out their running back situation before it must be addressed again. James Conner is heading into the final year of his contract and the rest of the players on the roster have a lot to prove. This points us to the 2021 NFL draft. Draft Wire has updated their 2021 mock draft and they opt for a big power back to the Steelers in the first round.

They decided to give the Steelers Alabama power running back Najee’ Harris with the No. 22 overall pick. Here are some of the best highlights of Harris from last season.

Throwback fans will love Harris’ power rushing. And for you all who are fans of the more modern NFL running back, his emergence as a receiver in 2019 is a big positive.

Having said all that, I’m not sure he’s a good fit for the Steelers with the current players on the roster and I’m not sure he’s a first-round pick unless he has a huge 2020 season.
